Sheetz — Restaurant in New Stanton

3/20/24 OTR POV: Gave 3 stars, because you have to give something for a review and I want to be fair since we didn’t get to stay in the truck parking or go inside and cannot rate the whole location. I will say that after reading reviews we were ready to enjoy some Sheetz food and find us a spot to sleep for our 10 hour break. Didn’t happen. Coming up, the truck lot was slap full by 6:02 pm and usually that time is somewhat fair to be able to find a spot most places. The kicker to the full lot was that at least 4-5 of the spots I noticed immediately were taken by dropped trailers. Likely just for the free spot for who knows how long, not just to drop and bobtail for needs & then return. Is it a drop yard or truck parking?! Fuel islands- 2 out of service and coned/taped off and the others were 2 trucks deep. There was an inconsiderate driver blocking the bypass lane, just far enough back to block the lane but not be up at the pump/walkway area. Had to make a U in the fuel islands just to get out after several minutes of no movement from any truck and only one visible driver actively pumping. Just thought I’d share the frustration in case you’re in a rig looking for a spot to eat and sleep, might luck up if you’re earlier. We went up the road a bit to the Flying J, no issue and got a spot. Pretty full here too this time due to limited locations...

This is a well kept store with great employees. I don't eat here daily, but I've never had a food order problem. I am in here alot and see how busy they can be. So if I ever do have a mistake with my order, I could excuse that. As for the drink and coffee stations. I've seen them spotlessly clean, but it only takes 1 to make it look a mess. I've seen it happen. I'm sure the restrooms have this happen as well. If I didn't think this was such a great place with great people, I would a stayed at the end of the street while they were closed. Now that place was just. No I'll stay at Sheetz. Stop at many a Sheetz. Usually pretty good.....This time to slushy was not tasting as normal. Went back into the store and the register person was like we haven't had any complaints, you can make another one in a rude tone. No, I'd like my money back. We don't give money back in a continuing rude tone since the line was now backing up. Why would I want another drink when the texture was not good, and had too much syrup. Didn't even offer some other drink, or a coffee. I didn't have time to call a manager, or further discuss. Yes it wasn't much money, but I guess that is why I will pick another gas / food stop (WaWa, Loves, Flying J) since Sheetz is not...
