We have frequently stayed at this hotel over the past 6-7 years as we have family in the area and the location is convenient. I also have Gold status with Marriott Bonvoy and so we like to stay at Bonvoy hotels. ||||This hotel has gone way downhill quickly over the past few years. On our two most recent stays, in May and July, both rooms had tubs with major rust stains on the bottom. We had to shower with flip flops on as we did not feel safe standing on the rust. The most recent room had mold/dirt on the shower curtain and the a/c in the room did not work properly. The front desk told us "yes we know" that some of the rooms have tubs with stains and poor a/c. We also tried to sign into the "upgraded" internet but it was not working. The front desk had to call the manager who told them to call the internet provider to "turn on the faster wi-fi" but of course the front desk did not get ahold of anyone. Why have the option of faster internet if it is not set up? The hotel had one tiny bar of soap by the sink. We had to ask for more soap for the shower. The soap is the smallest hotel soap I have ever seen. The quality of the paper products (kleenex/toliet paper) is also very poor. The towels are thin. |||| On our prior stay in May, we were given a larger room, but again it was in poor condition. The closet door was damaged and the couch in the room was pathetic and not clean to sit on. ||||Overall, the rooms are just really run down. ||||The breakfast is very poor. On our July trip there were no bananas or other fresh fruit (other than unwrapped apples) at breakfast. The gal working the breakfast area had long hair not tied up or tied back. The hotel also used to have coffee in the lobby all day and they don't have that anymore either. ||||We gave this property a second chance in July after our bad experience in May. We will need to make other arrangements...
Read moreWhile the hotel was barely ok for our stay, the issues we experienced made us unlikely to stay at this location ever again. We had problems with check-in as their computer systems were not working properly and they couldn't issue fully functional keycards for the rooms. Also the website allowed us to book a room with a party of 6 when the rooms barely fit 5. We had to squeeze 2 people on a roll away cause they would not allow us to have a second roll away. The sink outside the bathroom leaked really bad and when we notified the front desk, they said they would get to it as soon as they can as they have many other rooms currently with leaks that need to be addressed. The internet was very slow during our stay and we ended up not using it as I could barely get my laptop to download my emails. We had to have the front desk let us in the pool as the problem with the keycards did not allow guests access to the pool. This made things quite annoying. The rooms were clean and the beds were pretty comfortable but we have had better rooms at other Marriott properties. The issues we experienced at this specific hotel were issues that could have been addressed in a better manner. The brand name Marriott is usually paired with quality but this hotel needs to be addressed so that can be the standard here. While I will stay stay in Marriott properties due to many other great experiences, until this specific hotel is addressed for its quality concerns, I will not stay nor recommend it...
Read moreHorrible Experience - think twice before reserving here - had reservations for 2 nights - Oct 19th and Oct 20th - On Oct 19th we had a terrible family medical emergency that involved possible loss of eyesight - we were at a hospital all day (we are out of state) and got home that eve around 6:16- tried to call hotel until 9:00 that evening - phone rang and rang with no answer - not even a recorded message where we could leave a message. | There were two of us constantly dialing over and over again. At 9:00 we were exhausted and decided to call again in the morning. When I called the morning of Oct 20th, some one finally picked up the call and I was told they treated me as a no show. When I told them about our emergency and that our daughter would be coming to use our second night, they told me that they gave out our room to some one else and that there was no availability. Given our emergency, I was told that the manager would call me back to discuss. It was not fair as we were not able to get through by phone to tell them about our emergency and that we would be using the room the 2nd evening. That was a month ago and no one from that hotel has contacted me and I was still charged for the reservation. This was a real let down. We will not be using that chain of hotels again after this experience. Terrible...
