Called to place a to go order. Like always, my family and I look at their web site ,place our food choices in the cart,I take a screenshot and then I call to place the order.
Called on Wednesday evening, told the girl what I wanted. When I finished placeing the orders, she gave me a total that was $ 10 dollars more then online had showed. She quickly gave me a total, told me how long and hanged up the phone. I checked my cart to see the total again. Ordered 4 kids meals and 3 kid out of the 4 were dinners that online said it came with a dessert. All 3 were cookies. Online no extra charge. The lady was trying to charge me $3.00 per cookie. Now, why does online and when you go in person, my kids get a dessert no extra charge but for a take out order, you get charged extra for calling in. Calling in and ordering online is the samething as a takeout order.
When I had called back to question the order, she told me I could speak to the manger when I came to pickup the order. I told her I was not going to complain when I got there and wanted to speak to the manger. She placed me on hold and came back to tell me the manager was unavailable and I had to wait. I told her to cancel the order since I was not waiting since I had to be at the pharmacy before they closed . I had to pick up my son's medicine and I didnt want to be on the phone while driving.
Either this girl didn't know how ring in a order , what came with kids meals or maybe she thought she could scam me and get a tip.
We wont ever go to this location. This location is just another restaurant who will charge extra on the bill even on the menu...
Read moreMaybe I came on an off night. It was not quite 7 pm even and the soups were already put away. They brought me my chicken noodle & the waitress said it had been in the cooler for a little while and tbe bowl felt cold to her, would I like her to microwave it? They were out of biscuits & rolls. Offered me some type of dessert bread or to wait 15 minutes ( after my meal was brought to me). I took the rolls to go for later and they were very good but would've been better with the pot roast. Mashed potatoes were watery mess- ate around them. The staff were nice and were fairly attentive, although they were disorganized and I had to repeatedly remind and ask for things like a coffee refill, silverware... A manager was on hand helping with issues in kitchen and dining area. The place was clean... Idk. I'm probably not going back there because it was a disappointment but I...
Read moreUsually I love going to a Bob Evans restaurant, they are all usually very good. After being in the one in New Stanton this time I have decided I won't go back. We had an elderly lady with us that is DEATHLY allergic to eggs. After trying to explain to the waitress what she had to know about how things are made (eggs or no eggs) the manager came overto help but the only thing she would say is " you will have to look up on your smart phone I am not allowed to tell you. Try to find that information on line. I don't know if the manager was just trying to be difficult or if the management company that owns Bob Evans needs to be much more forth coming to Special needs people. If she had anything even cooked on the same grill that an egg had been cooked on she would have to use both epi pens and get to the hospital fast. This used to be a normal stop for...
