I brought my bike (used, but new to me) here after owning it for several months and recently noticed a bit of noise while riding. From the moment I walked into the shop and explained my situation, Qian was upfront about how tracking down phantom noises on a carbon bike can quickly become expensive. Instead of pushing me to spend money, he offered to thoroughly check my bike to ensure that all the parts and components were properly set up and that the bike was safe to ride.

I agreed to his suggestion and returned to pick up my bike a few days later. Qian patiently walked me through everything he had done and even pointed out some features on my bike that I wasn't aware of. As someone brand new to cycling, I really appreciated the extra time he took to explain things to me. Visited 'Off The Bridge' first thing Monday morning (22 Sept.) and became won over as a new customer. Qian's care and professionalism was wonderful in the services to adjust my 14-year old Giant Seek One. He immediately spotted the cause of my chain skipping on the lowest cog and took his time to explain the cause and provided a couple of choices in my purchasing a new cassette.

He is very engaging and transparent in the pricing of the service and cassette replacement. He also provided cable adjustment on the front derailleur, and was completely open to answering my questions. I greatly appreciated his guidance without feeling pressured on any of the service provided or the cassette.

I will definitely return for additional service and found my new go-to bike shop for tune-ups and...

Qian is a pro. I a have had LBS in MA, ME, FL and NJ as well as in Luxembourg and London during years abroad.

Off the Bridge and I crossed paths today when I had a flat on my folding Citizen. Didnt have a wrench to remove wheel - took it out of bag and forgot to put it back!

Googled and found Qian's shop was 1 miles away and opening at 8AM ... almost none of the Manhattan based shops open that early and precious few are near the Two Bridges or South Manhattan area.

Qian's small shop is fabulous - geared to clients and repairs with just right amount of gear. A city dweller or commuters haven. And coffee to boot.
