I came here for the first time in April 2017, and I've come back so many times since then. It was finally a place to bring a group of people to order dishes family-style - I had been looking for a good place to do so! So happy about this place. Anyway, I came here on a weekday night for dinner with a friend, and when we came it was still pretty empty. By the time we left the restaurant was full! Although located in a dingy-looking part of Chinatown, the inside of the restaurant is awesome. Very bright, proper chairs and tables etc. The ambiance is great, and the waiters are friendly.

We ordered: shrimp steamed rice roll: super fresh, and the rice roll is super soft it almost melted in my mouth. I've never tasted anything like it in the USA. Super delicious. Shrimp was fresh too. There's a soy sauce bottle on each table so you can add the appropriate amount to your food! I love this; usually rice rolls come with soy sauce on it, but sometimes they give you too little or too much. It's perfect that they provide bottles! beef chow fun with gravy: a little bit too much corn starch I believe? Some of the sauce was too clumpy, but the flavor was great. The noodles themselves were quite good too and very fresh; they were a bit too soft though. Fresh green vegetables surrounded the dish, and the brown gravy sauce was very flavorful. Beef was soft and tender, very good as well. I loved this dish. I definitely want to come back to try the dry beef chow fun. salted chicken rice casserole: this took 20 minutes to come out, which is how I know they make it fresh! Again, with the soy sauce bottle, we could add as much or little to the rice we wanted. The chicken had a bit too much bone and not enough meat, but it was tender and flavorful. The casserole made crunchy rice at the bottom, which I thoroughly enjoyed!

Everything was delicious, I love the food here! The even better part is, all this came to be around $20 post-tax. They were huge portions (enough for three people), and it was awesome. Definitely will be returning (with groups), and definitely will be recommending this...

We went to King’s Kitchen for dinner, and the experience was very disappointing. The service started off okay—the waiters gave us plates and water—but things quickly went downhill. My dad had to ask for water three times because he was really thirsty, and while they eventually brought it to him, no one else at our table received any additional water after the first serving.

The food looked okay, but the taste was very mediocre.

When it was time to pay the bill, I was told the payment machine was broken, and they were only accepting cash. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant could have a broken payment machine and make no effort to fix it. This made me suspect that they might be trying to avoid taxes by insisting on cash payments. I explained that I didn’t have enough cash to cover their mandatory 15% tip but offered to pay part of it. The waitress then grabbed a note from the wall above the machine and told me I could Zelle the rest of the tip. This further raised my suspicion that the machine might have been intentionally “broken.”

Due to the poor service, we hesitated to pay the tip, and my mom became very upset, wanting to call the complaint hotline on the restaurant wall. The waiter suddenly said it was okay not to pay the tip and just asked us to leave. As we walked out, the server even told us not to come back. I usually tip at least 15% when the service is good, but the service here didn’t deserve it.

Would never recommend...

This comment is purely based on the horrendous customer service I received from the brown haired and eyebrows cashier lady on Saturday, 5/25/23 around 7:38pm. Have nothing against the food, well because I could not have any.

Was trying to just order a takeout, took her a minute to notice me without stopping her from counting her bills, and was beyond reluctant to take my order. 0 courtesy and smiles and was talking to me as if I interrupted her winning jackpot. I tried to tell her what I wanted, she mumbled and did not take my order. I repeated my order again, she low key yelled at me saying one dish was not available. Sure, I tried ordering something else, only gave her another chance to yell at me saying it’s also not available. Fine, I kept it polite and asked her what is available, and basically got dismissed. Literally got filled from her attitude I stormed out of here, which I have never done in my entire life. Very confident to say this is the worst customer service I have experienced.

It’s 5 hours later, and I feel the urge to come here and make people aware of this situation. What a shame , food looks good, but I got PTSD from their front desk lady to even gather myself and...
