Read moreAfter the remodel, Nike House of Innovation NYC is smoother, cleaner, and still a must-visit if you’re into sneakers, sportswear, or just want to feel inspired by retail done right.
Here’s the full floor-by-floor breakdown from top to bottom:
⸻
🟧 5th Floor – Jordan Brand (formerly Nike By You) This used to be the Nike By You customization zone, but now? Jordan takes over. From retro heat to brand apparel and exclusive drops, this whole level is dedicated to MJ. Displays are clean, product is plentiful, and it finally feels like Jordan got the respect he deserves with his own space.
🟧 4th Floor – Basketball + Nike By You (relocated here) All things basketball live here now — and they did it right. You’ll find LeBron, KD, Ja, Giannis, and Kobe shoes and apparel. Plus, Nike By You moved here, so you can still swap laces, add patches, and customize sneakers or clothing. This floor is a hooper’s dream.
🟧 3rd Floor – Men’s + ACG If you’re into that lifestyle and outdoor-ready fit, this floor is for you. From Nike Sportswear to All Conditions Gear, it’s a nice mix of clean cuts and rugged performance pieces. Great place to build that everyday fit with some edge.
🟧 2nd Floor – Women’s From leggings and training sets to lifestyle sneakers and stylish outerwear, the women’s section has a solid variety. Layout is spacious, and it doesn’t feel like an afterthought — Nike made sure this floor holds its own.
🟧 1st Floor – Service Hub + Arena + What’s New This is the entrance floor and usually the place where Nike highlights their newest innovations. When I visited, it was focused on running — with shoes like the Pegasus and Alphafly getting front-and-center spotlight. There’s also a service hub and arena experience area.
🟧 Basement (-1) – Kids Go one level down, and you’ll hit the kids’ floor. Everything from toddler to grade school sizing is here — sneakers, apparel, and full outfits. Easy to navigate, bright, and stocked well. Don’t sleep on it if you’re shopping for little ones.
⸻
Pro Tips Before You Go: ✔️ Use the elevators — every floor is clearly labeled and worth exploring. ✔️ Go early to avoid the crowd. Midday gets packed. ✔️ Don’t skip the top or bottom floors — that’s where the gems live. ✔️ Bring your wallet. This place will test your discipline.
Final Verdict: Nike cleaned it up, leveled it up, and gave each floor a real identity. From Jordan to custom gear, women’s fits to ACG — there’s something...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received during my recent visit to the Nike Innovation Store on Fifth Avenue in NYC. As a devoted Nike fan and a frequent shopper, I have always held Nike's customer service in high regard. However, my experience at your store left me feeling quite frustrated.
Firstly, let me commend you on the impressive store itself. The layout, design, and overall atmosphere were truly exceptional. However, my positive experience was overshadowed by the service I received from one particular staff member. It seemed that I was assisted by the wrong person, as other staff members demonstrated a much more positive and attentive approach.
The young gentleman who helped me appeared disinterested and preoccupied with a group of younger adults throughout the entire interaction. It took him an unusually long time, over 25 minutes, to retrieve the pair of Invincible Three running shoes that I intended to purchase. I had to remind him twice about my request. While this delay was inconvenient, I understand that mistakes happen.
However, the biggest issue arose when I asked the staff member to apply the discounts I had available through the Nike app. Prior to making the purchase, I had checked the app and confirmed that there were discounts available, including a 10% off coupon and a 20% off coupon. The staff member assured me that he would apply the discounts and proceeded with the transaction.
To my disappointment, upon reviewing the receipt at home, I noticed that no discounts had been applied. I immediately reached out to the store, but unfortunately, they were unable to rectify the situation. The Nike app's chat support, while polite, informed me that they were unable to apply the discounts retroactively.
While the discount amount may seem trivial, it is more about the principle and the assurance I was given by the staff member. As a loyal customer who makes significant purchases from Nike each year, I believe that such issues should be handled with greater...
