Only good things about this are the location, which is next to Central Park, Times Square and most things you want to do in Manhattan. The other major factor is its one of the cheapest hotels in Manhattan. This is where the good ends and in a big way. Most rooms are with a shared bathroom in the hallway but you can find a key locking "private" bathroom as well. The main and unavoidable issue that cancels all the good is the NOISE. It is impossible to get a good night's sleep here and I have stayed here many times due to the price factor, but only try it for 1 or 2 nights at most because after 2 nights of sleep deprivation, you will be happier sleeping under a tree in Central Park. Doors start slamming as early as 5 in the morning as other guests start leaving to use the bathroom and staff start cleaning rooms. The door slamming can also happen at night if someone gets back late from partying. Beds creak from any movement you make and the walls are thin so you'll hear other people and they will hear you and both of you will be pissed off at one another. It's a shame really because otherwise it would have been the perfect place. If you just need one night to sleep for a bit (think 5-6 hours as I doubt you will last longer with all the noise) and move on, then this will work. For a longer stay, it would be really tough. Maybe if you got...

The staff were really nice and friendly. And the experience was enjoyable thanks to them. The hotel is one of the cheapest in manhattan and is well located so that’s a good deal for people on a budget.
But I wouldn’t recommend staying more than 3/4 nights. The rooms are okay if not kinda dirty and the bed is confortable. The bathroom though is hell. There’s no hot water in the shower, the bathroom is a pool because there’s so much water everywhere for some reason and also the door doesn’t close. Since it is a shared bathroom with men on the same floor I didn’t really feel safe showering. Also there’s nowhere to put your stuff so you have to go out in the corridor in the towel or put your clothes on the floor (where, I would like to remind you again, was closer to a pool than a floor)
Also they asked us to pay 10$ per night at arrivals which was not included in the price and kinda took us...
Read moreThis is the cheap place to stay in Manhattan, the room was $140/night total when I stayed this time and $90/night when I stayed last month.
The bathroom is shared yes but they have private bathrooms too. If you get a deluxe room on the 12th floor those bathrooms are private, first come first serve though.
It is pretty quiet and I slept well. The people complaining are not looking at the other hotels, they're +$250/night, you're not gonna get a cheap hotel and it be four stars, you get what you pay for, stay here if you're on a budget.
You can find a cheap hotel in Queens and take a train into Manhattan but right here you have Times Square only 15 minutes away, you're in the vicinity of all the restaurants and attractions, I could even see a little bit of central park...
