Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur’s Acupunk at Lincoln Center Last night, I saw a poetic parade performance featuring @theatredeladamedecoeur giant puppets, Eria and Terrenis, Acupunk at @lincolncenter Josie Robertson Plaza. Metaphorically exploring the theme of earth’s healing through acupuncture, the two puppet characters use long poles to untie knots and rebalance subterranean energetic currents—and everything that is influenced on its surface, just like traditional acupuncture. The puppets perform a healing ritual accompanied by rhythmic music, creating a meaningful bond with the public: the healing of our planet! Acupunk is an innovative and vibrant performance that incorporates projections, multimedia, and LED lighting—one which will impress audiences of all ages. Performances begin at 7:15 pm and 9:00 pm on March 1 and March 2, 2024 at Josie Robertson Plaza. Tickets are not required. Just show up! You can sense the grandeur of this performing arts complex by simply standing at the threshold of the structures by roaming around in the plaza. The plaza is a lovely spot to relax anytime, but it's particularly delightful this summer thanks to the "The Green" exhibit, which aims to revive NYC after the pandemic. The exhibit has transformed the entire plaza with lush green astroturf, creating an ideal setting for a leisurely afternoon visit.
