This story is my honest experience and review, based on my perspective entirely. I had friends bringing me home for the summer, and with a full house I booked them a hotel nearby for the night. This hotel I had stayed at before, but have since been told many hotels in the area have changed management. After going to check in, we were told we have to be above 21 to check in, which was a little startling but not a problem. Much later in the evening my father checked in at the hotel for me. And, very late into the evening, my friends left to stay at the hotel. They informed me that the events went as follows: They walked in and said a passing “Hi” to the woman at the front desk, went into their room, sat down and ate for a few minutes, answered the door when the front desk worker knocked, and had a short conversation. She asked for me, when they said I was at home she was confused, and said they were trespassing and they were kicked out. They returned to my house at about midnight, and I went to the hotel with them. I then asked if I still had the room, she said yes, I asked if they were allowed to stay if I stayed and she said yes. This conversation was entirely strange, as the woman was slow to respond, seemingly completely confused, and looked very concerned. Though she wasn’t quite rude, she was very put-off. After reaffirming that they could stay with me, she said yes and very peculiarly asked if I was ok. I was taken aback, said yes and explained why I was maybe seemingly flustered. She said she had to verify something, picked up her cell, and went into a private room, where she presumably called the police. She then gave me one key card and said nothing. I stood confused for a moment and then after assuring that was all I left with my friends to collect our things and go into the room. We began to settle in for the night as it was past midnight, when one of my friends said that he was pretty sure the desk worker had called the police, and upon looking outside, our suspicions were confirmed. Within five minutes of being in our room, at least six policemen and medics had arrived. They said that the woman had called because she was concerned I was overdosing or under the influence. They then preceded to go through a medical check. To be clear, I was tired, have scabs on my arms from bad habit, bad acne, and had slightly puffy eyes from allergies. I also had been nervous as I don’t socialize well, especially when faced with a conflict. However, I have never done recreational drugs nor been under the influence of anything, and had not even taken so much as an allergy pill that day. Besides a slightly flustered look, I do not believe I looked enough like I was about to overdose for the police to be called. After the check, the police seemed to agree, noting nothing outstanding as being under any influence. They then informed us that because I had leaned on the counter she believed I was overdosing. We were then told, after a total of thirty minutes of being in the hotel, we were being kicked out. The trouble this caused, at such an inconvenient time, and for so little a reason, makes me extremely upset. I was still charged as well. So, for thirty minutes spent at a hotel and a hundred dollars, I was treated like a suspicious drug addict, my friends were kicked out twice, I was kicked out, my parents were inconvenienced, I lost hours of sleep, and was just frustrated in general. Not only was this experience poor on the service end, but as a young adult, I felt completely overwhelmed, and made to think I was in the wrong.
I have since been informed that police are unreasonably called often at this location in...
Read moreMany reasons to skip this hotel. January 2025 I booked a Saturday night stay for a concert via TripAdvisor, payment was immediately taken. We later decided to come into town a night early, so I called the hotel directly and added another night to our reservation, pay for the extra room upon arrival. |We check into our room with was right next to the grease slicked pool. This rooms largest flaws were the smell and the temperature control. The room smelled like an old, unused locker room under a pool- musty, damp, dank, gross. The window opens about 5 inches so it offered little relief. The heat and cooling unit is about 40 years old, is extremely loud and if it’s not constantly running the room becomes stagnant and stifling within minutes. The in room 4 cup brew coffee pot shown in the photos is not accurate. There is an off brand pod style coffee maker- I’m happy I brought my own coffee maker. But there was coffee at the breakfast bar, which was not what was shown in the photos either. There are no individual boxes of cereal, just a bulk pour system with bowls and milk. Odd. The coffee is not fresh brewed, but is a liquid mixed with water in a machine. It was VERY noisy in our room; we were able to clearly hear the neighbors conversation next door and upstairs they must have been acting out some wrestling moves or rearranging furniture because they sounded like they were going to come through the roof. |At checkout I asked for a receipt and was give a paper with no information, just a zero balance- my name was correct however all the remaining information was not mine. I insisted on an itemized receipt and this is when it got interesting. I paid in full for Saturday night at $246 for one night in January, the called and added another night, total at checkout should have been $246 as we had already paid for one night. The checkout total was $586- for one night. I asked the owner what happened and he claimed TripAdvisor was holding one nights payment and I had to call TripAdvisor to release the funds to Quality Inn then they would reimburse me. What? Um, no. You got the payment for the first night already, before I checked in. We ended up paying $832 for two nights at a Quality Inn. Nope. This is for the credit card company to handle. Travelers beware of this...
Read moreAbsolutely 0 stars what started off like they were being super helpful ended in disaster. I just drove 39 hours in total from California in 2 days and am exhausted with barely any sleep. The Gm assisted with my booking and asked if anyone was staying I said no just me and I have my service dog and was already frustrated right there when he had to change rooms for me. Next I took my dogs out to use the restroom prior to going into the room he saw I had a 2nd one and said you didn’t disclose that you had 2 and I explained To him I do not legally have to under my ADA rights and he goes to say he can deny me a room and in which he did. At this point not only am I upset he then goes to refund me and as I walk out the door he tries to charge me 5xs before the 5th one finally goes through at a lower amount and keep in mind that is all the extra funds I had Left for the weekend to eat and stay in a room till I can move into my new place Monday and be somewhere stable after this move. So not only did the Gm deny my legal rights which I have now filed with the DOJ Civil rights. Their corporate office can not even do anything to help my immediate need. Physical and mental distress this GM has caused as well as removing all my funds which allow me the basic needs for a human to survive along with my service dogs. He has violated many ADA laws and honestly I cant stand lawsuits. I do not want a payout but I just expect decent treatment as a person. This Gm who refused to give me his name should no longer be allowed to work in this establishment after knowing full well by saying I know you’re protected by ADA but it’s my right to deny you. No you do not know that I’m protected if you...
