If you are into painting like I am, you will soon tire of the hobby lobby! Their name says it all, they are for the hobby people and soccer moms who like to make their own flower arrangements! For the real artists they lack the quality of the boutique shops that serve real artists. The majority of the staff is totally useless when it comes to questions about the products they sell so do not bother asking for help you will be lucky to get a useful answer to your inquiry! They do have better prices than michaels on just about everything I have purchased, but their Masters Touch (store brand) line of brushes and paints etc. may claim to be artist quality but trust me most of the stuff is not even student quality compared to the name brand competitors! I do shop there alot as they fill the void in my city which can seem to support a real artists supply store! Hobby Lobby turns my stomach with their openly Christian agenda and not be opened on sunday practice so their employees can go to worship! I respect their right to do business however they see fit, but i dread going there everytime, they always seem to be over staffed but yet have the slowest checkouts in the world! It seems like everytime u buy something the cashier needs to verify something and must call for help or some to come and turn a key in the cash register! I will give them props on how well cleaned abd organized the shelves are, that place would be a nightmare to work as a stock person, I am amazed that they can keep it all straight! Maybe I am a little harsh, they serve well the demographic they are trying...

We did meet one kind employee. She was helpful. Even customers here were stuck up. We love the Carmel, Westfield location much better. Kinder people all the way around. The prices are much better. However, I find Hobbly Lobby to be as elite as the rest of the stores around. Hobby Lobby touts about their faith but the prices are crooked. They mark prices way up on every product and then when they have sales, they are misleading because you really think your getting a deal when you knock off 50%. NO sweeties, your not. Their 50% is 25% in reality compared to current fair prices. Deception is a lie and we are told the father of all lies is..... So no matter which one you go to, expect to be cheated. Noblesville is the worst one by far. Buyer beware, the real price is not whats on the paper tag. The real retail price is generally 25% lower than any of their prices and some times 50%. I only shop the 90% off sales to get a fair price I can live with. Remember stores are only...
Read moretldr; buy 1 thing at a time with the 40% coupon and go home and weep mercilessly for supporting the promulgation of 1840s values.
insanely overpriced.
not a fan of the company's politics, so I steer clear of buying supplies here. in fact, to say I vehemently oppose HL's practices and policies is putting it too softly.
however, I found myself searching for a very specific item that I didn't have time to order online and have delivered. so...I found myself at HL as a desperate last ditch effort.
they do carry some items that I haven't found locally anywhere else, but that's one of the only positives that I can come up with.
I know they have those 40% off coupons on a consistent basis....but what a pricing scam. Even with the coupon, the new price is closer to competitive. It certainly doesn't entice me to buy more than one item at a time should I find that I'd want...
