I believe that this place is torn down now, but believe it or not...I kinda miss it.
First off, this is probably the most disgusting motel I have ever set foot in, which made it perfect for a film shoot. Think of all the time I would save by not having to build a set, age the walls, and make it generally look seedy.
I made a deal with the staff a few weeks before that I'm going to shoot a film there. Of course when we arrive they see all of our gear and demand that we rent a 2nd room, which we did....it made life easier since our cast had a place to hang out while we set up. Luckily the room had free pornography on the TV incase anyone got bored of talking to the interesting people milling around.
We moved the bed in order to stage the scene better, of course we find discarded crack pipes underneath it.
One neighbor came by and offered to go pick up Burger King for us, and wanted to hang out for awhile since his friend was busy banging a hooker a few doors down. He told us for a hundred bucks the hooker would get naked for our movie.
The first night I had to sleep there with 100k worth of camera and lighting gear in the room. Of course the door to room #10 did not really lock, so I spent most of the night expecting to be robbed. I slept in my sleeping bag, and luckily did not get bed bugs somehow.
There is a resident that lives out back and fed a huge colony of feral cats that lived on the property.
The bathrooms are very scary, pooping was like a fan made episode of fear factor. Never mind showering, that was out of the question.
The clerks at the front are not the friendliest, and seemed a bit creepy. But perhaps it may have just been the porno he was watching at the desk that made the transaction seem off.
Luckily the police had a squad car that regularly swept the parking lot. Apparently years prior this motel was frequented by Richard "the Iceman" Kuklinski, who left a couple bodies behind. I was very surprised there were no murders during my stay. I was tempted to complain about this to the clerks.
All in all the Lincoln Tunnel motel was a fine place to spend a couple of long production days. I got to meet interesting people, see the sights, and feel really bad for the cleaning lady who probably has seen more sights than a...
Read moreWellll.... First off this is cheap but you get what you pay for!!!! $65 a night. They have rooms they charge hourly, dont ever put yourself in that situation. That's the most dirtiest rooms that people just have there fun and leave. So the guy at the desk gave us room #126 and we open the door just to see roaches as soon as we get into the door. Then we go more in to see roaches on the walls, bathroom sink, bathroom toilet, shower, and etc. We go tell him to give us another room so he does. He gives us 101 and its infested with roaches. Me and my husband open the second door, roaches everywhere. As soon as you step in and open the door they have Roaches.. We even looked on the bed, roaches!!!!! I went from there and was creeper out! Even the lobby looks just creepy. Old and dusty. Weird people work there and I heard somebody died in one of the rooms next to us which we was creeped out because WHR if that was OUR room. The third room we got we were okay, but still dont trust this hotel! Its a bunch of creepy old folks, and trust me this is more worst then sleeping in the damn hallways! At least the hallways dont have a bug problem like this motel does! I will never try this place again. Slept uncomfortable and had to sleep with my sheets off....
Read moreRented the room for a 3 hour for.....well we won't get into that. As with any place I stay I check the bed for bed bugs and found none. Ok cool. I can overlook the apparent holes in the wall covered by a piece of paneling sideways and the dresser that looked like it went through a war. When we turned the lights back on.....well let's just say they should change the name to The Roach Motel. It was really gross. I read really nice things about the owner and he may be wonderful but the people who are staying there are taking advantage of him. I saw 2 other guests and both looked shady I just hoped that when I was leaving my car would still be there. This place should be torn down, renovated or at least...
