The hotel is so freshly remodeled that our room smelled brand new. It was beautiful and super clean. This is thee place to stay, and because it’s linked with @AloftOceanCity across the street, you have the bikes, mini golf, and all kinds of fun activities like paddle boarding and kayaks. DEALS: Book your rooms at #Sealoft Oc 2 nights or more, during the week, from July 17 through the end of the season and save 20% off your stay. We stay at this hotel every single summer for years. This year will be the last. To start they over charged me by almost 300$. It took me asking when I was there then calling when I got home to be refunded. I booked an ocean view room only to learn it’s not an ocean view room. We had a view of the hotels next door and a corner view of the beach. They need to update the name of this room to Partial ocean view. I wasn’t happy about this and told them after I checked in. They claimed there was nothing they can do. They offered me one day rentals of chairs and beach umbrella. I declined as we had our own The ice machine is extremely small and every morning was empty. Don’t rely on using this for your cooler. Our room that sleeps 6 had 1 bath towel and no remote for the TV. As soon as we called they fixed this. The carpet was dirty and was not vacuumed. The fridge is small but worked for what we needed. The place was updated. Lobby looks nice and rooms basically have new fixtures and pictures. Our sliding door to the balcony had a broken lock so we couldn’t lock the door. I attached a picture of our ocean view from We won’t be returning to this hotel anymore. It’s a shame because it’s a great location.

SeaLoft Oceanfront delivered on all fronts... an utterly ideal experience at this newly renovated boutique OC hotel. I stayed for 3 nights in early September 2024, just after the high season. The beautifully adorned room offered a lux king bed, full-length sofa, desk with chairs--and my favorite, a 5-foot-high fridge/freezer large enough to store more than your average tiny hotel fridge. Also: coffeemaker, microwave, clock/radio... lovely bath/stand-up shower. And for me: I love that it's dog-friendly! There's a little grassy area before the beach for your dog to walk and sniff and relieve themselves, with poop bags provided. SeaLoft offers reciprocity with Marriott sister Aloft just across the street, which is worth exploring: There you'll find a FAB FUN Tiki bar/restaurant with a "scene" around the pool and beautiful Bay views (SeaLoft does not have a bar/restaurant on-premises). It is the perfect value-add to complete the experience... Also of note: a few blocks walk to the nutso Seacrets. EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE!

Parking: The hotel only has 50 marked parking spots for its guests and staff even though the hotel itself has 60 available rooms. This is a problem in itself but the property manager also fails to enforce their own parking policy, causing the already poor parking situation to be much worse. Friends of guests and beach goers park in the lot with little to almost not real action taken by the hotel. When guests complain about no parking, it is suggested they park across coastal hwy at the restaurants/stores. When guests express concern over not having a spot if they leave, it's suggested they leave their car parked and take the bus where they wish to go. We were even told to park behind another guest and leave a note on the windshield with our number to call us when they wanted to leave. Other suggested options consisted of double parking, parking in tow zones and handicap spaces. As a result of all of this, our second night at the hotel, we didn't go anywhere. We beached during the day as planned, but stayed in after and ordered pizza instead of going to dinner and mini golf as wished because we didn't want to lose our spot. The rental cost of these rooms, greatly exceeds their value given the hotel's issues (read further). At the very least parking should be provided for paying guests and their policy of one room/one parking spot should be strictly enforced. If we wanted to cross coastal hwy with our kids, we would have stayed in a much cheaper bay side hotel and walked to the beach.

Elevator: Scary is an understatement. The elevator wobbles from left to right in the elevator shaft if not properly balanced. It hops at every floor and the doors don't always open or close all the way when they should. It makes horrible noises and feels as though it is really struggling to go upwards and drops a bit hard when going down. Basically, if you're able, take the stairs. I don't trust it.

Room: The beds and couch were comfortable and appeared clean. However, the kitchen, bathroom and ac unit left much to be desired.  Most of the kitchen cabinets sat crooked off their hinges and the stove tilted to the left. The bathroom had dead bugs on the counter upon our arrival, paint is peeling off the wall and the shower head is coming out of the wall. The AC unit struggled to keep the room cool and was so loud, it almost drowned out the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. It seriously sounded like a bunch of wrenches being tossed around inside. Thankfully, you only heard the noise when out in the balcony, but it definitely kinda ruins the ocean side experience we paid a pretty penny for. Due to the parking issue, I spent more time in the lobby than I would have liked and during that time, I noticed some unsettling, potential structural issues. If someone across the lobby walked by, I could feel it in the floor and when I walked close to the wall the decoration rattled against it. I'm not saying there are structural issues, I'm not a professional in that field, but I do know if my home had movement like that, I'd have it checked out. I'm not going to lie, the recent Florida condo disaster came to mind.

In short, we will not stay at the Atlantic again, which stinks because we really wanted an ocean side hotel we could love and frequent. They are part of the Carousel Group and when we called them about the issues, the woman on the phone explained it all falls squarely on the property manager, but I would have thought being under the Carousel Group Name, they'd been more concerned, but guess not. We'll be vacationing...

I had the absolute worst experience here on Sunday 7/16/18. This was probably the most disrespected I have ever felt because, although, I have always understood discrimination happens to people who originated from another country, I have never personally experienced discrimination until I came to this location. We made a last minute reservation and checked into the hotel around 7 pm. The lady at the front desk as she was checking me in, while she was explaining how to get to my room, asked me if I spoke English and if I know what’s a ramp. I speak and understand English quite well, but it should be noted that I do have a bit of an accent because I am from Europe. I can’t explain how rude that was but I just wanted to check us in and go grab some dinner. As we walked back to the hotel at about 9:30 pm we realized that the cars in the parking lot had a parking pass, which the lady had failed to address. We went to the room to see if maybe we had missed it in the booklet she had given me and only found the second room key. We went downstairs to ask for a parking pass and the lady from the front desk which was sitting in the lobby watching TV, yell “Can I help you?” At that point, we walked towards the area she was sitting. She said she had already given us the parking pass, we told her there was no parking pass with the stuff she gave us and that we checked everywhere. She started to scream at my friend and me, telling us that no matter how times we asked we were not going to get a “second” pass (I think it is very important to note we only had ONE car, so we were NOT trying to be sneaky and get an extra pass). She asked us to get out of her face and leave her alone. We had paid $297 to stay there one night, the least we expected was to be treated with respect and have a place to park our vehicle. She then got close to us and very loudly said: “If you ask for a pass one more time, I will call the cops on you and get you kicked out.” How are we supposed to react to that? So we decided to leave. We contacted the reservations number, they patched us through to the voicemail of the Property Manager(Matt James)- they had explained that he would be the only person to contact for us to get the refund. At the front desk, we asked to get some sort of proof we were leaving and she kept refusing to talk to us and kept saying "bye" and that we would be the ones losing our money. She called the manager and we heard her say “they have been here ALL DAY and now they want to leave”, We had not even been in Ocean City for more than four hours. I'm sure their cameras know exactly when we got there and when we left, and how unbelievably disrespectful this person was. The next day we called and left the manager a second voicemail, he called us back at about 2:45 pm. We explained everything that had happened and his response was that we were offered a pass, that we "decided" to leave on our own and that we were not going to get our money back.I do not know how this place is still in business with this sort of customer service. I have never encountered this sort of...

We asked for their best ocean view room w king bed full kitchen amenities for our anniversary get away. we paid $$$. per night we arrived and were disappointed even before the elevator .. dirty. walls with holes chipped paint on all the doors, dents in all the room doors. floors throughout the halls were filthy. smelled like a damp wet mildew throughout. Arrived at our $$$ room, walked into a damp mildew smell, bathroom smelled like a dirty urinal. checked the bed.. we had bedding with large blood stains and lots of “body hair” throughout the bedding and in the pillows (3 twin sized flat pillows, not 4 for a king bed ) looked like vomit stains running down the sides of the mattress. looked at the other side of the mattress to hopefully flip and that side was worse than the other. We pulled all the bedding off and reported to the desk & asked for new bedding, we were told we don’t have access to linen and were given two top sheets for a full size bed for our king. our first night there we were left to sleep with no pillows no bedding . our full kitchen amenities : rusted stove w broken doors, rusted sink with “their just water bugs “ as we were told.., 1 glass cup 1 coffee cup 2 plates , 3 spoons a fork a butter knife a wine opener all w food still on them , a rusty pot & pan. and a dented full size fridge. fridge was the cleaning thing in the place. next day when we came to the desk to talk w a manager they apologized for the “water bugs” and said we will be up to check out the room. a hr later we returned to our room as the attendants arrived. we were given clean stained sheets and pillow cases and instead of a new comforter we were given two top sheets a duvet insert in between. we had to ask for additional cups for the 3rd time and clean towels and wash cloths to accommodate two people instead of the none provided in the kitchen and i set in the BR. And they “treated for the “water bugs” by opening the cabinets and spraying god knows what chemical into them without removing the dishes and on the side of the fridge. we asked for a discount and were laughed at. asked for some type of accommodations for the conditions and were told its end of season what do you want us to do. we asked for a later checkout time which they gave us 2 hrs. & then continued to call our room throughout those 2 hrs and hang up once we answered The view from the balcony was breathtaking! granted we had to sleep w the door open to the balcony to air out the room. at least with the door open we could see out because the glass in the doors was filthy. this hotel looked like a college party frat house. and the staff was more interested in telling you about their retirement than your poor conditions or health hazards from their facility . I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and even if they tore it down and rebuilt, I still would not return just due to the lack of customer service and care. have to say the worst experience i’ve ever had in OC Md and we have been coming to OC...
