I have stayed at hundreds, possibly thousands of hotels in my 78 years of living. I flew for American Airlines for several years and was then a pharmaceutical rep. I have traveled all my life but I have NEVER been treated so poorly at a hotel as this particular stay!|||| I grew up in OKC and came back for my high school's 60th reunion. My brother lives in OKC but I always stay in a hotel. ||||The first night was horrible because the front desk put me on the highway side. It is extremely noisy and all night long to sleep in one of their 'highway side' rooms. About 4 or so in the morning, I packed up everything, went down and talked to the very nice 'allnight' front desk guy, and he gave me a better room on the 'quiet' side. That was totally to my liking. Their rooms are well kept, at least when you come in.||||The breakfast people, both during the week (Richard) and the weekend lady (forget her name) are very nice and do a good job.||||Trying to get your room made up here is a challenge. I was told by the weekend woman that 'we do the checkouts first' when I asked the first time on my last day if I could have my room made up early. This is a very small and standard request and in all my travels, I've never experienced a problem asking.||||;It was a Sunday, so I took a lengthy walk and when I came back to deposit a couple of small things I bought my room was the same as when I left. It was nearing lunchtime so I again asked (politely of course) that my room be made up. I asked if it could be done within my eating lunch and relaxing a bit outside. She seemed annoyed but said she'd 'ask again.' I heated up in the kitchen area some food from my brother's birthday dinner the night before. I ate it, disposed of the trash and sat outside in the courtyard for quite awhile. The courtyard is lovely, though it needs to be better taken care of. The walkways and furniture are full of debris, the bushes need trimmed and it looked like some homeless person had been sleeping outside. ||||I went back to my room and the room was still not made up. I again went down and the front desk woman was outside smoking (I had spent hours in the courtyard on Saturday and she was outside every five minutes to smoke). After she spotted me it took her a few minutes to come in. I again told her my room needed to be made up. ||||Then she started SCREAMING at me and to the housekeeper beside me she screamed 'THIS WOMAN NEEDS HER ROOM MADE UP RIGHT THIS MINUTE!' I said 'I asked hours ago.' She continued screaming at me to GO AWAY and was flinging her hands in a 'go away' gesture, very scary. I told her she had zero customer service skills.||||I went back to my room and a young housekeeper was vacuuming. I told her to stop, asked if she got the tip (she had) and that she could leave.||||The next morning I was catching a 5 am flight so I was in the lobby very early for my brother to pick me up and take me to the airport. I unfortunately witnessed (and recorded) an argument between an (obvious) prostitute and a guest of the hotel. The prostitute said the guy was harassing her (which I doubt, he had talked to both myself and the overnight young man) and after she asked if I 'agreed with' what was happening, she screamed obscenities at both myself and the others in the lobby.||||I was told by national LaQuinta they removed the prostitute and the guy staying in the hotel, which I doubt because in my recording the woman is still holding her room key.||||I have asked that they refund my entire stay or give me enough points for a 6 night stay at another hotel. Their response was to 'contact hotel management, we're a franchise.' No name was given and no email or information about WHO I could contact. This is extremely poor service from their national office.||||I am seriously thinking of suing because this was unprecedented behavior on the part of a front desk representative. The woman is obviously unhinged and a very poor representative for the hotel. A weak 'apology' is hardly enough for what I...
Read morePretty clean and bug free, which was hard to find in Oklahoma for some reason? I think the bathtubs are not the cleanest, at least they donât look very clean, definitely recommend sandals when you shower (though you should be doing that anyway when you travel). I stayed in three different rooms while here (due to my own situation, not the hotels) and all of them were pretty decent. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful, though sometimes you have to wait for a little while for them to come up to the front desk, but they go through the lines quickly and are pleasant. Housekeeping was great. The walls to the hallway and to the outside are thin, but between the rooms itâs much thicker. You can kind of hear people walking above you if theyâre pacing, but usually you donât a hear a thing. Breakfast was not good!! Kicking a star off for it. Hard boiled eggs are the only option everytime, and nobody wants to eat hard boiled eggs, like thatâs such a weird choice, and the potatoâs/tater tots arenât great. Waffles are just okay. Didnât try the biscuits and gravy. The sausages were usually fine but they get cold toward 8am âšď¸! They have fruit (mandarins and bananas mostly), yogurt, cereal, and pastries (also arenât great) but is usually what i ended up getting. There is not a hot water machine available near the coffee, which I found unfortunate. And the coffee isnât great, but eh!! They have laundry which was super helpful for me, but you have to pay with quarters. TV is okay but if itâs on longer than 15/20 minutes it starts to flickerâand this happened in all three of the rooms i stayed in. The area is NOT walkable, but that can be said for all of oklahoma though, LOL. Thereâs a delicious Mexican food next door that you can easily walk to at least, but you pass through the parking lot and it is slightly sloped so heads up if youâre in a wheelchair. Also if you need an accessible room, they have it but the bathrooms in them are kinda uggo mode. Not a big deal but the bathrooms in the rest of the hotel seem much higher quality. If you wanna stay in oklahoma, this hotel is probably your best bet, every other option is very⌠bad⌠usually. There is also a poolâI did not go out there but I would often hear people out there and they seem to be having a good time. The other thing is there is a cigarette smell that is deep in the carpet on some floors more than others, but that smell is NOT in the room which is great. And when you first get in a room it kind of smells damp, but just mess with the A/C and usually itâs fine (though that was not the case with the accessible room, in my experience). ALSO, the wifi is unprotected which I do not like at all. Forgot to take pics of the room, but they are nice, all things considered. God forbid, if I am ever in Oklahoma again (i hate oklahoma), Iâd choose...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I booked a 2 day stay at this hotel. Check in was at 3pm, and arrived around 3:30pm. I should have known it wasn't going to be a good stay when I met the front desk. He was a male with braids and long fingernails. I said, "how are you doing today" in order to spike up a conversation. He said nothing. Proceeded to provide my license and credit card. I asked for my receipt and he stated, "the printer isn't working." I then said, "I just watched you give a receipt to the lady before me. Then asked where our room was located. His attitude was terrible. The customer service was non-existent! The next day my girlfriend goes down to my vehicle and returns to the room only to find she can't get in with her key card. I open the door check it using mine, and it didn't work either. We go back down to the front desk and spoke with another staff who stated the cards didn't work because the reverted at 12pm. I told her they should not have done that in the first day because we are booked for 2 days. She proceeded to tell me that the male that first checked us in didn't set the keys for both days. Later that night we wanted to go for a swim. Unfortunately, the guy that checked us in was there. My girlfriend spoke and asked, "how are you doing today," but he didn't respond. She then asked him asked for towels for the pool, as well as, for the room and followed up asking, "are you okay, and did someone put him in a bad mood." He said "I'm good," and nothing else. As we proceed to return to our room while we are talking about how horrible is attitude was another guests stated he gave her and her friend the same kind of treatment. The next day I went to get our breakfast which is not intercontinental, and thought there would be eggs, bacon..etc. There was not. There were waffles, almost like fake sausage patties, fake hash browns, and hard-boiled eggs. I was so disappointed, I took some to my lady back to the room but refused to eat myself. Upon check out I brought the keys back to the front desk and spoke to a gentleman with white hair and asked if he was the manager. He stated no, but the manager would be in later to ask and speak to Jay. I communicated my grievances with him and as soon as I described our experience with him, he simply dropped his head and apologized stating, "we had 10 complaints on him in the past day alone, and continued to say they are so short staffed they have to keep him. PLEASE, if you are reading this find somewhere else, For the money I paid ($200+), you can definitely find something else worth your hard earned money. I understand that all La Quinta's are not the same, but due to the incompetency and attitude of this clerk, we will NEVER stay at another one of their establishments!! If I could give them a -1, I would have. This is a...
