My wife and I on a spur of the moment chose this place to settle a craving for sushi. We pulled up to this little establishment in a smaller strip mall off of NW Expressway in OKC. We walked in to an empty restaurant but immediately the staff jumped into action. Super courteous, quick, and efficiently asked us if we would be dining in or if it was take-out. We were dining in so we were seated quickly anywhere (obviously) that we wanted to sit. We chose a booth and our waitress immediately placed menus, utensils, and took our drink orders. We got our drinks in what felt like seconds, we got a complimentary clear soups (which were delicious and Hot!) and ordered an appetizer (crab-Rangoon). They brought it out after maybe 5 minutes or so and they were plated beautifully with a sweet and sour sauce on the side, they were hot, tender on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Perfect. (see picture!) We shortly after ordered two different sets of sushi (OKC roll & Captain Crunch roll) and a side of fried rice. Maybe 10/15 minutes later all of the food arrived, perfectly hot rice, and a beautiful set of sushi plated on a really cool bridge! (See picture). Everything was the perfect temperature and so very flavorful! We will most definitely be coming back...
Read moreWe have known Sian, the owner and chef of the restaurant for many years. My husband discovered him and his sushi when he worked for uptown grocery several years ago. The sushi was so good, we quit going to sushi restaurants and only ordered from him. He left uptown a couple of years ago and opened his own restaurant in Tulsa. After he left, we tried several sushi restaurants but none measured up to Sian’s sushi. Fortunately, our son lives in Tulsa. So we went to Sian in Tulsa every chance we had. When we found out he was coming back to OKC to open another sushi restaurant, we were beside ourselves. So what makes Sian’s sushi experience so good? It’s a lot of different things. The ingredients are always fresh, the presentations are beautiful and artistic, the service is great, the menu is extensive and he makes a point to know his customers. On top of all of this, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and it is very clean. It shows that Sian pays attention to every detail.
