Here for MAGfest. Didn't get to snag a Gaylord, but honestly this may he the better choice. The rooms are spacious, cheaper, and you can sleep. They have large fridges to stash your con booze. Housekeeping is good. Also, checkout time is an hour later than the Gaylord. It's only a minute walk so you're only gonna freeze to death in your weather inappropriate cosplay for a bit. Another perk is that they offer after-checkout luggage storage so you can enjoy the con on Sunday without worry. But no hotel is perfect. As someone who likes cold rooms, their thermostat only goes down to 68/66 and you can't crack open the window. You think with how cold it is outside, the room would cool down on its own, but nope. Another downside is that the AC sounds a bit rattly and maintenance couldn't do much about it. I got used to it though and got decent sleep by con standards. The free breakfast is good, but there's only sausage. No bacon. Also, it could be open a little later. It's 9AM on the weekdays and 10 on the weekends. MAGfest is a con with late night panels, so I only got to experience it Sunday morning when I woke up early. Finally, by checkout time, one of the elevators broke down and we had to drag our luggage down the stairs because the working one was taking too long (and do you really trust it at that point?) Luckily we were on the second floor. Please, prepare your elevators for the rush of congoers!

I have mixed feelings about this hotel, so I'll outline both the good and the bad. **The Good:** *Location*: Absolutely perfect. You can walk to restaurants, shopping areas, or just sit by the water on the pier. Everything is right outside your door. The location is excellent. *Breakfast*: The ladies in the kitchen do a fabulous job of keeping everything fresh and well-stocked. I requested sugar-free syrup and received it promptly, without feeling like an inconvenience. Great breakfast experience. *Cleanliness*: The rooms were very clean. The housekeepers were efficient and detailed, which is evident in their work. **The Bad:** *Front Staff*: The front desk staff seemed uninterested in providing hospitality. They didn't go out of their way to assist and made us feel like we were bothering them. *Security Measures*: You need a key card to enter the main doors and to use the elevator. This wasn't explained to us at check-in, and we felt like we were in lockdown. The area around the hotel is getting rough, with a notable police presence from Thursday to Sunday due to issues with teen crime. It would have been nice if the front staff had informed us about the security measures. Overall, you'll need to weigh the pros and cons based on your needs, but the unfriendly front desk staff significantly impacted my stay.

Nice and Clean hotel with an eco friendly pledge. Parking was $24 per night at a parking garage across the street. If you are staying more than one day make sure to get it validated for a hotel pass at the front desk so you can go in and out without paying every time you exit. Hot breakfast is included. That I can remember, they had bacon, turkey sausage, muffins, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, waffles, toaster, fresh fruit, apple and orange juice. It's located in National Harbor MD so there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance from fast food to unique food experiences. Tanger Outlets are 10min away, DC and Alexandria can be reached within 15min. There is an outdoor fire pit sitting area, downstairs lounge, business center, and gym. No pool. I didn't love the room layout, it felt cluttered with too many pieces of furniture. Couch, writing desk, dresser, small breakfast table, ottoman. The kitchen had plates and cups but they were so far up this shorty couldn't reach them in the cabinets. I did love the eco friendly shampoo & conditioner options for people with curly hair those tiny hotel bottles are usually not enough. Some of the rooms face the water.

My family and I spend 3 nights and 4 days at this hotel for a pre-Christmas trip in National Harbor. It was an excellent stay! From the receptionists, to the dining room staff to the housekeeping... I can't thank them enough for the great service "with a smile!" they gave us.

The receptionists are all wonderful! The minute you walked-in, they are all very "welcoming"! They allowed us to checked-in-early as they know we traveled from New Jersey. They also told us to let them know if there is anything they could do to make our stay a very comfortable one... The big help they did is to show us what bus to take to go to the newly opened MGM Hotel and the Washington area. They were very good in giving out instructions and directions!

The free breakfast is delicious! Even though it's free, they serve a variety of hot foods every single day. It's all a complete breakfast, from oat meal, to cold cereals, different fresh fruits, all kind of pastries, bread, bagels, and many more. The dining room staff are wonderful, making sure there is always food in the counter (they always refilled the chafing dish). The servers are so quick to clean up your table and they maintained the cleanliness of the food counter. They always cleaned the mess the other guests were making in the counter. The manager (or in charge, I think) is always on the look, making sure everything is in order.

Our suite is very comfortable. The bed can sleep 3 people. The kitchen we loved as we can cook our own lunch and dinner, saving us so much money from eating out (we are on a limited budget). The bathrooms are spacious enough.

The housekeeping were very kind. They always did a wonderful clean-up in out suite.

We love the fireplace on the lobby as it is so warm and cozy and lot's of flat screen TVs to watch.

The gym is so cleaned and well equipped with water, towels and wipes to clean the equipment's.

Thank you very much to the wonderful staff of Residence Inn Marriott in National Harbor,...

Pull out bed was awful! We asked for another mattress Saturday morning and was told that it was only a year old and they did not have anymore to place on top of the one we had for some more cushioning. We were offered an extra comforter for the pull out to try to add some cushioning, but they were never delivered.

There needs to be more than 2 elevators when hotel is at capacity.

The front desk clerk had a very bad attitude (Friday and Saturday) when we had to ask for extra towels and wash clothes, she acted as if we were getting on her nerves and was just not friendly at all.

The furnace and air conditioning were VERY Loud when they would come on and you need exhaust fans in bathrooms, it would get very hot and muggy in the room after someone took a shower. Also, we were woke up every morning by either something from the parking garage, the garbage truck or throughout the night when heat came on.

There were more items to choose from on Monday morning than there were on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast, and need to have bacon as some people do not like sausage, but that is just an fyi. There were many more people eating on Saturday and Sunday to not have the extra choices and variety of food out. More people should equal more choices.

There were food crumbs and dirt under the cushions that were taken off for the pull out sofa bed and there was a drink and ice left in the refrigerator when we got to the room. Otherwise the room itself was clean, as I take clorox wipes and wipe everything down b4 we use it and they didn't appear to be dirty or grimy which is a plus. You just need better mattresses on the pull out sofas. You could feel every spring and was so uncomfortable.

When you charge double the price of the room, just for the fact that there was a cheerleading competition across the street, the least you can do is have a comfortable pull out bed that a kid can sleep on, a clerk without an attitude and more than a set of elevators when the hotel is...

Stayed here for Father's Day weekend. First strike, when we arrived to our room, the clock was broken and it was 80 degrees in the room. Turned on the AC and the temperature went up to 82 degrees. I called the front desk and they sent someone up right away. After about 10-15 of trying to fix the AC, she finally said we would have to be moved to another room because the AC was broken. We had to gather our 2 small children and our belongings and she moved us to another room. We requested the new room to be near the rest of our family since thats how we book our stay. She let us in the room which was next door which was great. Then the gentleman who was at the front desk came to our floor and said we would have to move from the room she opened for us because someone was coming to stay in that room. He proceeded to try to move us down the hall. I informed him our items were already in the room so he would have to have someone disinfect the room if we had to move. I suggested to put the other guests in the room down the hall. After about 5 minutes of explaining it over and over to him he said we could keep that room. Second strike, the room wasn't cleaned properly. My 2 year old found dirty cups under the bed from previous guests. If you have a bad back, DO NOT stay here. The beds were too soft and the pull out sofa was even worse. Third stike, the complimentary breakfast had no hot food. Only bagels, muffins, yogurt and oatmeal. Very disappointing. Forth and final straw, we asked for a late check out which is only and hour from original check out and the same gentleman who gave us an issue the first day said he could not give us a late check out but he honored someone else's the day prior. Save yourself the headache and stay at the Hampton Inn across the street. The rooms are bigger, the beds are better and they serve a complimentary...
