My experience was at the site located in the National Harbor district in Maryland. My family and I went there in the evening for drinks and dinner. -The drinks were satisfactory, but the cost was too high for an acceptable drink. For instance, one classic margarita was $16, and the pomegranate margarita was $3 more; thus, a pomegranate margarita was $19. Our server needed to be faster to respond to our requests and present clear and concise details about the menu. For instance, the server asked if we wanted guacamole while we were looking through the menu, we said yes, then chips and guacamole were provided. The issue was we were charged 17 dollars for the chips and guacamole. While most Mexican restaurants will offer chips and salsa for free, since the waitress asked if we wanted guacamole without us requesting it, we assumed it was free, especially since it was extremely bland.
Also, to add insult to injury
-The cleanliness of the facility was very poor. The tables and floors were very slippery and greasy throughout the entire restaurant. I slipped multiple times, but there were four notable moments where I almost fell. What’s more concerning is that one employee tried to address one of the very greasy areas by using the same blue cloth napkins that guests use for dining on the floor, stepping on them, and scrubbing them against the floor to soak up the oil and grease. Additionally, the men’s restroom floor was worse than the floor in the general restaurant area. The men’s restroom had two soap dispensers, but one was barely operational, and the other appeared to be ripped off the wall and left unusable on the counter.
-The flatware was placed directly on the tables without anything protecting them from individuals touching them when passing by the table. There was a table with a family with toddlers close by, and I could see the children playing with the flatware from an empty table and putting it in their mouths. Overall, I recommend spending your money somewhere else until they significantly enhance the customer experience by improving the quality of food, cleanliness, and transparency in...
Read moreWhen my friends and I first arrived the hostess looked at us and she said it would be over an hour wait. A couple of my friends that have been there on the regular walk to the other side where the bar area was since we were really just going to get drinks and appetizers we later followed them and we were about to sit at the bar. There were four of us and the bartender gave us the option of either sitting at a table which was empty and ready or we could sit at the bar. The hostess didn't give us that choice when we asked about it. So glad my friend walked around the corner himself but the fact that we kind of felt like she was trying to keep us waiting on purpose was not cool. It takes a lot for me to complain about something I usually let things slide or not put too much energy into it but it was pretty blatant and the bartender apologized for that on behalf of the restaurant. You need to have a hostess that is welcoming and friendly to everyone that walks through that establishment just based on how she treated us I almost really don't want to come back there but once we were on the other side between the bartender and our server I would almost go as far as saying it kind of made up for me giving that location a chance again on my own or with other friends but if it was solely based on the hostess I would never come back just being honest. The food the drinks the server the bartender they were all wonderful hi kudos for them!!! The hostess that night in fact it was the Friday after Thanksgiving that way you can narrow it down and you know who was on staff that night. When customers are spending their money and relaxing and having a good time Ambiance and atmosphere totally play a huge part and can make or break...
