I will begin with the positives: The location is great as it sits right next to the PS Art Museum. The property is picturesque as you have a very clear view of the mountain. If you have pets, there is plenty of run around room and ample grass on the back half of the property by the citrus trees. That is, however, all I have to say on the positive side.
Now this: I booked this hotel last minute via Hotel Tonight. I wanted to book directly with the property but their standard rate for the same room was higher than the 3rd party booking rate. When you arrive, parking is about 10-12 spaces right out front the property. You enter through a double, wooden door and the lobby sits to the left of the 1st pool. The service at this place feels very “are you sure you booked the right place?” It did not feel warm, inviting nor hospitable. There were several hiccups with my room (Room 2) including fridge not cold upon arrival (had medicine and dog food that needed to be kept cold) right down to the remote needing new batteries and after they were switched out, it only working the volume and power buttons 😑. I ordered from the poolside menu and the service was still very much like “here’s your order.” On top of that, I had to ask for clean towels and there were several dirty trays of food and drinks from guests who were there earlier. The only offer of “let’s make it right” was to upgrade for only $100 instead of $200. Lol. I felt with all the blunders and especially since I was only staying for the night, it should’ve just been complimentary. I was honestly taken aback because I was not giving this property any more of my money. The excuse for charge was that it was Coachella weekend. I’m not sure what that had to do with me and this horrible stay, but okay Cody… I won’t be back.
When I check out the next morning, early, at 8 am because the pillows in the room were horrible, I see an additional charge on my folio. I was told it was due to the food I ordered and there was a service fee. How’d it go from $54, to which I have an e-receipt for, to now $68. I was told it was for tax. When I mentioned that I had the e-receipt, then an additional credit of $10 was applied. I’m now charged $84.50 upon check in and the food order of $50 something dollars. Lack of transparency much?
I should’ve just stayed at the Kimpton which I could see through the bathroom window. The price points were nearly the same and I know I wouldn’t have had all the issues I experienced at Casa Cody. Please don’t be confused, this is NOT a...

THE ROOM: We stayed in a gorgeous two bedroom suite right by the pool. The room has a layout that maximizes privacy with the bedrooms on opposite ends and no shared walls. Each bedroom had a ceiling fan, an AC unit, blackout curtains, and spectacular beds which made our stay very comfortable. The charming kitchen was fully equipped with a mini fridge and gas range oven. We brought a cooler filled with ice, which we highly recommend if you plan on storing cold items as the fridge is pretty small. If you plan on cooking, just let the front desk know and they will provide you with whatever you need. Throughout the suite, we noticed great attention to detail and many wonderful design choices, I wanted to ask where every single thing came from so I could look it up and hope to afford it for myself: the rugs, the pool towels, the leather couch, the kitchen chairs, the curtains, the robes, even the dishtowels - it was all so luxurious and lovely.
THE PROPERTY: We were all struck by the incredible natural beauty of the grounds. The bougainvilleas were bursting with color and seemed to be the happiest and fullest we'd ever seen. There are also many citrus and old growth trees giving the property great character. Be sure to walk the entire grounds as there is a beautiful fountain and decorative wood-carved art pieces tucked away on one side. There is a big hot tub and two wonderful pools with plenty of umbrellas and comfortable lounge chairs. The atmosphere by the pool is relaxing and calming, exactly what you're looking for if you're just trying to "get away," ideal for reading and sunbathing.
LOCATION: It couldn't be better situated. 2 blocks from the Palm Spring Museum of Art, 2 blocks from the center of S. Palm Canyon Drive (the city's main street), and a 15 minute drive from the Aerial Tramway. A very short walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. Be sure to take advantage of the bicycles and take them out for a spin around the area. It's a really flat, bike-friendly town with wide streets and many great mid-century homes all around. They also provide bike locks.
STAFF: Helpful, accommodating, never hard to find, and super kind. Whether we needed a bottle opener or extra towels or wanted to use the bikes, they always provided us with wonderful service.

Read morePhotographed a wedding here mid October and is was perfect. Our couple booked out the entire property for the weekend, having a welcome bbq pool party the day before their wedding and we were able to stay there two nights - it was so relaxing we almost forgot we were working. The rooms are so spacious and the grounds are just gorgeous. There are two pools and barbecue area with grass, felt so Palm Springs and homey all at the same time. The grounds are well maintained and the staff was so friendly! There was continental breakfast also which we and all the guests enjoyed and appreciated. The wedding was beyond gorgeous - the place is so big there wasn't any turnover, each area had its own use, one for the ceremony, another area for cocktail hour and one more for the reception. Everything is close and an easy stroll, no stairs or uphill heaving so it's really convenient for you and all your guests. The getting ready rooms available for the couple is beautiful too, which isn't always the case. The ceremony setting our couple chose was by the fallen tree, with the mountain right behind them so the sun started to go down mid ceremony and the light was just gorgeous. Honestly nothing but good things to say about this place - we'd photograph another wedding here in a heart beat and even stay here for a personal vacation as well. This is a hidden gem that's conveniently located, don't miss out...
