To the individual who responded to this review is evidently the person I spoke to in the phone call or someone who knows the woman, and this is a significant fabrication. My children never responded if you have audio you would know it’s a lie, one didn’t respond the other said she’s in the front and walked to me to inform me of what had transpired. That is when I turned around and spoke to the older and younger women, as evidenced by the cameras. The younger woman told me it was okay for them to be in the store as longest I was in the front standing with my cup of water. Additionally, when I called the night before, as mentioned at the end of this review, the older woman explicitly stated that I should post this so that they could respond to my post. . Reading the previous reviews, I’m not surprise with our experience. If the owner reads this, it is imperative that you retrain your employees to improve their low-quality work and customer service. If you intend to visit Palm Springs and seek a souvenir, I recommend visiting Only in Palm Springs souvenir store instead of this other establishment. My children entered this store shortly before me, and as they did, a woman followed them and forcibly ejected them for being alone. This occurred despite our having clearly indicated our intention to observe our children in the store. Her inconsiderate approach to my children was unacceptable, as she should have waited to see if a parent would enter and approach an adult. In contrast, at Only in Palm Springs souvenir store, everyone was friendly and welcoming, and their souvenirs were both charming and distinctive. Overall, the customer service experience at Only in Palm Springs was significantly more positive. While I am not posting this solely to express my dissatisfaction with the incident involving my children, I believe it is important to highlight the rudeness and lack of consideration exhibited by the staff at the other establishment especially with the woman exhibited a notably low level of social refinement. Zero stars if I could. There’s a saying that you’ll never forget how someone made you feel and that is the basis on how I am writing this review. A friend and I, not from California and our first time in Palm Springs, we of course did window shopping throughout the different gift shops in the area. By the time we’d gotten to this particular shop, we’d already purchased things from another gift shop. One of the things that I bought was a clear bag and within it was an obvious receipt as clear as day, along with a brown paper bag filled with smaller gifts that I also bought from the previous gift shop. Instead of one of the employee of this store approaching me with kindness asking her question, she rudely approached us with the nastiest attitude wondering if I am going to buy the clear bag. And she went back and forth with me for a minute before I could persuade her that I purchased the bag from a different store. I can clearly understand how someone would make the mistake this employee made, but her attitude made us feel completely unwelcomed. I will not return to this...

I have been visiting PS for years and have shopped at this store exclusively. I have never had a poor experience with any of the associates at PS General Store. In fact, they have even directed me to other stores if they are unable to fulfill my "special request" (not to mention movie star home directions and little tid-bits of information on the history of PS). I have a diverse set of very wonderful friends who still comment on their experience at PS General Store. I love the tanning products and fun jewelry. I love the old pictures of their father and the story behind them. The store has everything Palm Springs, and is always neat and very clean. The products are made well and I am still wearing the swimsuit cover from 6 years ago, and looking forward to wearing the new one I just bought for another 6. I am sorry that Geoffrey had a bad experience; as for me I cannot imagine visiting PS without a trip downtown to buy from the PS General Store. It is a tradition I choose not to give up...
