DO NOT STAY HERE. The Spirit of Sofia is nothing like its listing—it’s a total scam with absurd fees, neglected amenities, and no on-site service. You’re paying absorbent fees for a run-down, grungy motel-like stay.||Hidden Fees & Price Gouging:|Base rate: $362 – fair enough, until they start piling on the nonsense.||Cleaning fee: $108.60 – yet the place is FILTHY with zero turn-down service.||Booking fee: $47.06 – an unnecessary charge with no justification after booking online. There is not even an attendant on site??||Palm Springs taxes & fees: Another $50+ tacked on.||The deposit for 2 nights was higher than the booking itself!!||No Service, No Standards:|No on-site attendant. It’s completely self-check-in, so if something goes wrong, good luck.||Filthy, neglected amenities. The steam room had an intense musty odor that was absolutely suffocating, and the hot tubs were dirty and clearly not maintained—honestly unusable.||The entire property is run-down. Worn-out vibes and grungy decor, and a feeling that screams “no one cares.”||For the fees they charge, this place should be pristine.
