Pros: The service from the woman who checked me in was good - she was friendly and had recommendations on places to eat and things to do.
Cons: The floors in the room were not clean. Aged property (only so much you can do without a complete overhaul). The location is also on the edge of downtown, still walkable-ish, but if it got very hot during the summer, it would be a challenge.
Big con: My credit card was also pre-authorized prior to check in (was not told this ahead of time, and therefore when it happened, I assume the room would be ready, which was not the case). Then when I checked in, my card was authorized again. Both charges posted to my account. I've attempted to reach out to the property multiple times via e-mail, their website, and via phone (had to leave a message . . . ) and didn't hear back so have to now go through with my credit card company to dispute one of the charges. Thankfully this was a credit card and not a debit card, but a forewarning to those to watch your account activity.
My overall recommendation would be to skip and stay at a...
Read moreThis is the second time we stayed at this place which was by accident based on room price and location. The location is good and the potential to make this a better hotel is good. We arrived prior to check in and all we were told was they were still cleaning rooms. Would have been nice to offer to have us drop off our bags or get our name to welcome us and explain the situation. When we arrived to our room the top cover sheet on the bed had dark marks on it. Fortunately the maid was there outside our room so quickly changed the sheets. The towels are thin and small which makes you want more towels in the room than are offered. The shower head force actually hurt when when the water hit my chest and could not figure out how to adjust to make it less pressured. There is a refrigerator, microwave and small coffee pot which is nice. Parking was easy and the location is pretty convenient to Palm springs locales. We will probably not return to this property...
Read moreAfter reading a lot reviews, decided to try this place out because of the amenities and price. Overall, its a motel level boutique hotel with great service and amenities.
Checking in was a breeze! The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. A smooth process.
The room was somewhat refreshed. The bathroom was for sure dated and the hot water did take some time to get hot. The bed was clean and comfortable and the AC worked just fine. Furniture was damaged with a couple stains but functioned in the room I was in. Walls are pretty thin so you can hear voices from other rooms or outside. This place was formerly the Knights Inn but has aged decently.
The pool was nice but not heated. Jacuzzi was nice and hot. Had the pool/Jacuzzi to myself my entire stay.
Parking is free and it's pet friendly. For the price and amenities and location, it's a hidden gem for sure. I'd stay here again based on the room I was in. Hope the Adara can upgrade more...
