Americas Best Value Inn Sky Ranch Palo Alto — Hotel in Palo Alto

Under new management and don't believe the old reviews...these guys are just great just leave your drama out. What a gem of a place! If you want simple with great service no disturbances not having to deal with receptionist with OCD check in issues then this is your spot. They are just fantastic and just simple in their check in and check out procedures. Closest freeway is 101 off of Oregon Expressway. Lots of restaurants close by both fast food and local eateries with home cooked tastes. Rooms are sooo cute and cozy and they offer snack and drinks that are courtesy and free. Bath towels are 5 star quality...just phenomenal. The water pressure in the baths and shower are perfect. Beds are perfect. Blankets and comfort are just right not too firm and not lumpy at all just right. Tv is standard and carry most local and cable channels. Walkable to the stores and restaurants. Stanford hospital is within distance. Stanford shopping mall also down the street just amazed how quiet it is also when ending the night for goodnight rest. Most definitely I will be back. Heater in room and ac in room. Just fell in love ❤️ with this spot. Kevin and his wife are a great management team in maintaining this spot. And you don't have to ask for toilet paper or cleaning condiments. It's like their housekeeping doesn't Have to be told what you need more of. They just refill what's been used and clean and leave. So glad I didn't have to think or ask or request for a change and it was great! And you can actually open your window in your room and the gardens and greenery along the property around parking lot help filter out city smells and noise making your stay pleasant. Too me this was 5 star quality. It was perfect for me who just wanted relaxation and rest as Dr prescribed. Thank you and greatly appreciate your care and...

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! Details… Booked a room at Sky Ranch last minute through PriceLine using express deals. Was shown 3 possible hotels with 8.4, 8.3 and 7.4 ratings. I got Sky Ranch with 7.4 rating and a queen bed deal for$63. Turned out to be a horrible experience! My girlfriend and I checked in late. Manager was rude and gave us room on second floor when there was only one car in the entire parking area. We asked if they had ice machine and he said it was not working. We then asked if there was some place to go get some ice… he said no check the ice trays in the room for some ice (there were no ice trays). Most hotels would have given us a room on the bottom floor and got us some ice from there own freezer. But not this guy! He looked more annoyed that we had gotten a good deal on a room. No big deal. So we go up to room and find out the room has two double beds (reservation was for one queen bed). Tried turning on the TV only to find it had an error and we were unable to use the television. I immediately picked up phone and requested another room. I was informed that a room with a queen bed and working television was not available because we used Priceline to reserve the room. In effect, we were given a substandard and low grade room as punishment for booking a room with sky ranch through Priceline. An utter disappointment and outright discrimination. He refused to do anything for us and lied to Priceline that he had upgraded us to a double queen room! This manager was a liar and rude individual who should not be working in hospitality industry. Maybe it was the color of my skin. I would not recommend booking a room at Americas Best Value Inn Sky Ranch in Palo Alto California! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GETTING...

I stayed here mid June for four days. The price was very reasonable, especially for Palo Alto ($109 b4 tax for three of the days $135 b4 tax for an additional day).. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the manager (owner?). No problems with parking. The room was clean with a comfortable king bed and pillows. There’s a chair in a corner of the room and a desk chair at the desk and carpeting. The room has a large flat screen tv with Directv, a fridge with freezer, microwave and single cup coffeemaker. The bathroom has a tub/shower with plenty of hot water, thick towels are provided and the sink is just outside the bathroom. The front windows open wide and have screens on them. Rooms are cleaned daily by the housekeeping staff. While right on busy El Camino Real my room was quiet and I slept well. The a/c & heater unit was quiet although the thermostat temperature did not reflect the actual room temperature and I had to set it quite high to heat in the evening and quite low to cool during the afternoon. Two of the three lights were out above the sink area, but the one that was on was bright enough that I didn’t report it. I was going to b4 I left, but the office was closed early on the morning I left. All in all a comfortable and pleasant stay at the ABVN Sky Ranch and I would return. I’m giving 4 stars for the price point...
