Palo Alto Place Apartments — Local services in Palo Alto

I stayed in this apartment for one year. I would recommend avoiding this apartment. The management is quite disorganized and never available, there was a thief stealing packages for months (who lived in the building!), the units have poor sound insulation, and the building is just very old. When you tour the apartment, don’t let them fool or impress you with the thin veneer of renovation that they have done.

On the day we moved in, the apartment was dirty, and there were clear signs of the previous occupant. Moreover, the microwave was severely dented and would not close properly (a health hazard), and the bathroom fan was broken. We immediately requested that the management fix microwave and the bathroom fan. However, it took them more than six month to fix the microwave. The bathroom fan was never fixed.

Generally, anytime something broke down in the apartment (which was often— this is quite an old building), it took an inordinate amount of time and effort to fix. I learned to contact them as little as possible.

The sound insulation is quite poor in the building in general. You can hear people in the hallway when inside the apartment. They can also hear you. We can hear the clacking of our upstairs neighbors when they walked on top of us. It was much louder than I am used to. Worst of all, we could hear the snoring of our neighbor (through the wall!). This is not a normal apartment building.

There was a thief who was stealing packages for months in the building. We had an Apple product stolen from us, which was delivered to our door. Later it was found that the thief lived in the building.

By the third month of my stay, I was desperate to leave. If you care about your sanity, avoid...

We lived at Palo Alto Place in a 2-bedroom apartment for two years. Moving in was straight forward, no hidden fees or hidden cost. Apartment was very nice, spacious, clean with high-end appliances. Washer and dryer in apartment included. Laminate wood flooring in common areas and carpet in the bedrooms.

Pool and the pool area is always clean. BBQ grill always has gas and working great. Plenty of room to entertain friends and family.

Apartment manager Moises is great, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. He immediately took care of any issues we had within the apartment. He also took care of any issues we reported in the outside common areas. He organizes community events to get everyone in the complex together.

Palo Alto Place was somewhere we felt comfortable and happy to call home. Living here felt like we were living with family. Everyone takes care of each other. I highly recommend...

I have been living here for 5 years, and overall this is a nice place to live. Thanks to the property management team. They diligently makes efforts to keep the building nice and clean, and I really appreciate it. It is an old building, so it requires a lot of repair/maintenance work, but they pretty much attend to it everyday.
