I’m a true critic to my word in a positive outlook. All reviews matter; responses back from the company matters. Cleanliness is my top priority. I won’t sleep just anywhere while on the road lesson learned. I booked and paid for our reservation upfront, read all stipulations choosing to opt out of payment protection. My risk to take however, my gut feeling said you won’t be disappointed. Husband and I will be driving six hours to visit family. We arrived around 11:30pm ready for a shower and to get some needed sleep. Staff gave off good vibes prompted, courtesy and professionalism. There was an additional $20 deposit fee required upon check in with full refund. I must have missed that part a surprise to me. My mindset for sole purpose was what if a person has a quiet wild night shhhhh.LOL. A lil extra cleanup for housekeeping. What if any accidents happen we are human (acceptable to me.) Lobby view was clean nicely put together their stone backdrop setup reminds me of my living room. I liked the option of an in-house restaurant to your immediate right, not a lot of hotels have that feature. The air was crisp feelings of oohhh yeah good choice. Room meet my pet peeves with cleanliness! The air in room fresh. Bed was soft, all linens was clean, pillows soft, microwave, fridge, bathroom all clean I checked. Glass wear next to ice bucket hey no cups fancy my husband chuckled. What if a glass breaks $20 to cover expenses sure thing. Shower was clean, hot and refreshing made for us tall individuals such as us. ALL PASS….Decor in room nicely done. It didn’t bother us that they are currently doing renovations staff said so. An sincere apology letter in room for why improvements for guests. I didn’t explore the pool or anywhere else within facility, quiet quarters felt safe if alone, I slept like a rock. Various shopping stores and restaurants near by either you can walk or drive. This will be my choice of stay every time I visit, plus additional perks to join club. I have one suggestion bigger TV possibly mount on wall to avoid children...
Read moreMy wife and I arrived after midnight. We had worked all day and driven several hours to Pnanma City. When we arrived the lobby doors were locked for security and a sign directed you to use your room key or pick up a phone that was on the wall. As we had no key, I picked up the phone. It rang between 20-30 times and was then answered. The lady advised she was on the third floor and would be down shortly. A few minutes later, she arrived and unlocked the door. She checked us in without incident and was friendly. As I was extremely tired from a 20-hour day, I just wanted to get to sleep, so we went straight up to the room.||||My wife immediately noted several medium lengths to long black hairs in the room. They were on the floor in the bathroom, in the sink, in the shower. We were both too tired to address the situation at that time, so we took some pictures to address it in the morning. We cleaned the hair up and went to sleep.||||In the morning, we approached the desk clerk and explained what had happened. Her response was a little terse and caught me off guard. She wanted to know why it was not reported when we noticed the issue. I explained I was tired and a little cranky and felt it would be better to address the situation when rested and less apt to be impolite. We attempted to show the pictures, but she seemed somewhat ambivalent. ||||We told her all we wanted was for the room to be cleaned while we were gone for the day and her attitude seemed to mellow. She said she would notify the general manager of our concern. When we got back, the room was cleaned, and all the hair was gone. We were not contacted further.||||Many of my reviews talk about how issues arise, and I try not to judge the issue, but rather how it is addressed. I do not think this was handled in the best way possible.||||As for the rest of the hotel, it was clean, and the public areas were nice. The location is okay, but not great. We chose this as it was the closest Bonvoy property to our son's residence. I think I would drive a little further on...
Read moreI do not write reviews for compensation. I write reviews to "pay it forward." Follow me and tell others too.||Here is my review:||Found this hotel on a Thursday afternoon, just prior to the Memorial Weekend. Was the least expensive close to Panama City Beach (PCB). This hotel sits to the front left of Towneplace Suites (for reference).||Note: Pier Park, Front Beach Rd, Downtown PCB about 15 minutes away, with little or no traffic. ||Exterior of building was not flattering on first look. But no issues or concerns throughout our stay.||Newly renovated hotel! I repeat... newly renovated (Jan 2024). Parking on 3 sides of building. Pool and hot tub in rear. Pool clean, but hot tub needs a good pressure cleaning. Lobby was quiet. Breakfast must be ordered and is not free. Beautiful astethics. One elevator. Three floors.||Rooms were quiet, very functional, full with amenities. Comfortable beds and pillows. Great lighting or lamps all around the room, lots of TV channels, good size fridge and microwave. Clean and hot shower. ||Eric and Robert were extremely helpful. From entrance on day 1 to exit on day 4. Whether it was questions about local eateries, or activities, their personal assistance was above reproach. Took time to open a visitors map and guide around the area, and answered all of our questions. Customer service is top notch and these gentlemen deserved to be recognized. (We had driven from 3.5 hours away, and not familiar with the area).||Primary road (23rd Street) is less than a block away. Most chain restaurants and shopping is located on this road, which runs parallel to the hotel. Tyndall Credit Union and Navy Federal Credit Union bank and ATM are within walking distance. Ask the hotel for a visitors map. It helps too.||I would most...
