Yesterday was my 37th birthday, so for dinner my husband brought me knowing that It’s crab fest. We walked in at 8-815 and the restaurant is dead all except 4 guests at the bar. It took 5 mins of standing at the host stand facing the bar before anyone even acknowledged us standing there. Finally seated we got a server named Gabby which excited me because we share the same name. Her energy was high when it comes to conversation but she couldn’t remember a thing.. I have issues with my blood sugar so I immediately asked for water, she kept forgetting to bring water to the table and kept laughing.. Then when it was time to pay, I wanted to use one of gift cards we’d received as a wedding present with $100 balance on it. I told her to run the gift card exactly $100 and the rest on this debit card but she didn’t she ran it for more than the gift card amount so of course it declined.. I pulled up the balance/transactions and showed her and the night manager where she was the reason for the hold on the card, she’d done whatever she wanted with my card.. as I was speaking to her about it she yelled and walked away.. I serve tables in pier park, I do her job, the restaurant was empty, there is no excuse for bad service especially in an empty restaurant.. all she had to do listen.. my husband was polite and handed her his debit card but me myself, I feel they could’ve dealt with this in a better way.. and as I’ve read the reviews I can see I’m not the only customer she got hostile.. I’ll be calling the corporate office soon as they open today. I will be perusing legal action against red lobster and their server Gabrielle.. corporate are a bunch of bullies and any lawyer would love the opportunity at a knock out of the park case, especially when I have the all the necessary documentation. I guess yall would rather pay me at least 100 times over in legal fees and restitution then to just refund my money. Either on my bank card or my gift card since you have my money from both but a refund to my debit card...
Read moreOnly giving a 1 because I cant give a 0!!! Waited 15 mins to be seated (not busy) hostess was missing... the server was rude as hell... Didnt see her for 15 minutes once we sat down...well we did she was talking at a table with a cluster of employees where they were eating their food whilst supposedly serving customers, we had to ask for biscuits and butter.. the garlic butter was way too salty and we asked for water, appetizer waited 30 mins for (still.not busy) she dumped it on the table didnt ask if we wanted anything else... forgot the water had to ask twice more ... the long island ice teas were very weak. Got the ultimate to share ... came out while we were eating the appetizer... lobster was so rubbery we couldn't eat it the shrimp was the same... mushy crab claws soft and watery , tasted frozen not fresh, solid potato and undercooked scallops, asked for the manager waited 15 mins she didnt even come to the table or speak to us.. but in the mean time 4 other tables that were also complaining ... all the same complaints, slow service bad food and wait time when the place is was NOT BUSY she took the entree off the bill then the server put it on the table and didnt even come back to swipe the card so ended up getting cash from the car and leaving that. Worst food and service ever. We should have realized when we were going in and the people outside were staring at the bill saying was wrong food they didnt get liquor in drinks that were non alcoholic, that we were making a big mistake going in. What a complete train wreck of a restaurant... frozen sea food, servers that DONT give refills, DONT care about customers, more interested in talking to other staff, Manager that is rude and cant speak to customers, food that is over salted, badly season, frozen not fresh, and how can a red LOBSTER not know how to cook a LOBSTER!! NEVER BEEN MORE DISGUSTED IN A FOOD ESTABLISHMENT AND WILL...
Read moreIt's been awhile since I've been to a Red Lobster so my grand daughter wanted to try the new seafood boils they are advertising. We both order the same one and Gram ordered pasta with crab meat. Gram is like me we don't want to work for our crab. But I know my granddaughter and she likes crab so thinking the portions would be smaller I ordered the boil to give her my crab legs. Plus I knew she usually doesn't eat the corn or potatoes. What can I say she's a seafood girl. Well she better marry a Doctor. It was a hundred and thirty three dollars (pre-tip). The portions were small considering the price. It was after two pm but before three. There were not many tables filled up by customers and we all thought the food took a little long to receive after ordering but hey it gave us time to talk. The food tasted good sans salt, but that's my thing. I like salt. There was one small cluster of crab legs in both boils. About 12 shrimp that were small to medium. I small lobster tail cut in half so you probably get a bite full in both halves and two of the small portions of corn and several potatoes. As expected my granddaughter ate both sets of crab legs. She a very tiny but big crab lover. The restaurant appeared clean including the bathroom. There is plenty of parking as it's connected to our local mall parking lot. The waitress hustled and spoke with us. Not too much. She did a good job of keeping the drinks filled and asked if we wanted to go drinks. I was a restaurant manager for 7 years. I'm not a know it all and I don't claim to be but if this location is still open after 2026 I'll be shocked. I have also lived in the area over 25 years and it just doesn't appear to do a lot of business in this area. Oh the cheddar biscuits are still all that and a...
