Jet Luxury Resorts — Hotel in Paradise

I honestly don't get the antipathy for this property. My experience, from end to end, was nearly as good as it gets. The room itself was spacious, tastefully appointed, had more amenities than I had a chance to use. Meanwhile, the larger hotel and sprawling casino, spa, pool, etc. all felt exclusive and never chaotic or over-populated.

The complaint I've seen repeatedly is that this property is owned and managed separately from the MGM property within which it is embedded. This only came into play once for me--when I wanted to extend my original stay by a day, reserved the room online, and then found that the hotel front desk could not place me in the room I was already occupying. For that, I had to call the Signature help desk, but Yolanda had me assigned to my current room in a matter of minutes.

So yes, there are additional steps attached to the unconventional nature of the signature suites sharing space with MGM, but I didn't find them to be any less customer focused and more important, I found them to be swift and responsive. I would be happy to stay at a signature...

Jet Luxury had rooms (they rent out owned condo rooms in the hotel) available at Vdara that we couldn't get through the hotel so we tried it. The value was good but the service was terrible. Vdara blamed Jet Luxury and Jet Luxury blamed Vdara. Anyway we waited 3-4 hours to get our room beyond the normal checkin time. We were exhausted from attending meetings elsewhere and wanted to stay at Vdara for rest and relaxation before returning home. We love Vdara and normally have no check in issues when booking through the hotel. We got to our room so late we had to cancel our dinner reservations at our favorite LV restaurant (Paleo) and entertainment plans. There was no room service (there used to be but who knows why a great hotel does not have this) so we had to go out and pick up food. Vdara was kind enough to give us a $150 credit against food/wine purchases and we look forward to booking with them directly in the future. Jet Luxury...

We've stayed at the Vdara a number of times before and loved it, but this time it showed no availability whereas Jet Luxury, who rent our rooms in the hotel which are privately owned, had some rooms available, so we went with that option. It seemed to us that we just did not get the same level of service from the Vdara staff as we weren't staying in the rooms they look after as part of the hotel, but effectively private accommodation. We also had an issue with the shower but although I reported it no one came to fix it. One benefit was that you don't pay for valet parking with Jet Luxury, as it's included in the cost, and the room was the same as the room I would have booked if I'd have gone direct with Vdara, so it's not a bad option if you want to pay less or Vdara has no availability, just don't expect the...
