As much as this pains me to give it one star, I'm going to have to as the that's the least I can do. If you want to be overcharged and treated incredibly bad, this is for sure the place. Went to see Matt Rife this last Friday and was horribly let down. The drinks were steep and poorly made. You would think for $20 a piece, they would be made correct and by somebody courteous. The security was more interested in throwing people out over anything. I could not help but to think that their job focus was to throw people out. We sat and were constantly interrupted by security standing right in front of us every few minutes to yell at people behind us. On the 5th or 6th time we expressed that we didn't appreciate it constantly happening, especially for the money we paid to attend the event...$1300 for 4 of us. After expressing our concern, we were thrown out of the venue and escorted out. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly over asking them to please stop standing in front of us constantly. Am I upset, yep...but how would you feel. As a local, it's going to take a hell of an apology for me to go back. All in all, I think I am more let down than I am mad. It really put a whole damper on the night with the way it ended.
Also, for what it's worth, as we stood in the valet to exit the property, we ended up running in to numerous other people that were also kicked out for trivial things as well. So, it...
Read moreI went to Chelsea theatre for the first time on Friday, September 9, 2022, to see the Kehlani concert, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The venue has an intimate feel with seating in the back and a standing room general admission floor. There are two screens, so no matter where one sits, they have a clear view of the show. I purchased a general admission ticket, and an interesting feature is the ground bounces; when people dance or jump around, it's akin to being on a trampoline. In my opinion, the springy general admission floor made the concert experience more fun!
I will return to Chelsea theatre when artists I like are there, and Kehlani puts on a great show!
Pro tip: Please do not make the mistake I made and park forward in a parking space in the Cosmopolitan parking garage! Make sure you park reversed because it will be a nightmare if you try to back out to leave because traffic will be at a standstill. Traffic was so bad that I went back to the strip to hang out for 4 hours because I was trapped. The parking staff needs to find a way to organize traffic after a concert because exiting the garage should not...
Read moreBELOW EXPECTATIONS... I honestly thought The Chelsea was going to blow my socks off and it didn't. It had poor acoustics for an intimate venue. I also found the entrance to be confusing and hard to find. It's got a nice stage but it's honestly one of the weaker venues on The Strip.
I came for a Conan Gray concert, it was his Found Heaven tour and this boy had to yell at the top of his lungs just so we can hear him. It's a shame that the audio was drowning him out and the speakers sounded muffled all over the venue.
I stood on the General Admission floor and it had a weird bendy quality to it. Every time you jump on the floor, it kind of jiggles and catapults you. Not sure if I like it or not.
I didn't see any food or concession options, it's a shame that everything is so hard to find at this venue. Also, their lines for merchandise are so long as the theater does not have space to open more than one merch booth.
I will say that the staff who were tending to the early General Admission line were sweet and helpful. I didn't like the wristband folks though, they...
