If you’re planning a Vegas trip and are tired of the exorbitant fees tacked onto you by local government, do yourself a favor and give La Quinta a try. You might think it is far from the strip, but you would be wrong. It is only six likes away. You might think that being so close to the airport, the incoming and outgoing flights will keep you up all night. Not in our room. We opted for the King Size Suite and never heard a sound for plane. However, you will hear them while in their pool. From the pool there is a direct line of sight of arrivals. The pool is only four or five feet deep at its lowest. Also, there is a hot tub available. Towels are made available at the pool, but during our visit, there were only three available at 10am. There is a weight room that has the necessary equipment to get an overall body workout. There is a laundry, but they do not have a coin machine, so you will need to bring quarters. It’s 2024, why can’t we pay by credit card? Also, they will sell you tide pods for a little less than a buck apiece, so maybe bring a few from home along with dryer sheets. The breakfast was what you would expect for a free breakfast: waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, bread, etc. the staff kept the area well stocked and clean. I was delighted to check in online before showing up. I merely had to show ID, initial a few things, and grab my key upon arrival. The elevator is located in the middle of the hotel which isn’t the most convenient spot if you have a large family with luggage for all. However, there are many different entrances available by key card only that can help alleviate this issue. Our room was the very last room on the second floor. Rather than drag our luggage a mile, we simply went through the back door, hiked up the stairs, and our room was the first available. Our room had a microwave and mini fridge. It also had a pull out couch. The bathroom had a large LED lighted mirror to alert you to the stray hairs growing out of the side of your ears that normal lighting won’t. All the staff were friendly and made conversation in passing. Only complaint was that we asked the gentlemen who was going to clean our room for extra towels(remember there weren’t enough at the pool) and he either forgot or chose not to. I hiked to the desk that evening and they were happy to provide them for us. Check out was easy, as I did it via a text message link the hotel sent me.

This was a learning experience in finding out that pet friendly hotels really actually mean dog friendly and a hell no to cats. However, La Quinta was one of the very few hotels that accept cats in Vegas with little strings attached. I was going to opt for Four Seasons but you can't leave your animals in the room and must check ur pets in like fing concierge with luggage, which is not happening. The staff is friendly and the location here is a bit hidden but actually pretty good, it's down the street from the strip about 3 to 4 miles and close by to the freeway and extremely close to the airport... in fact it's across the street that you see the runway! Fitness room was empty but they had 2 treadmills, elliptical, weights, weight lift machines and nice TV that we enjoyed our am workout. The continental breakfast is pretty cool very covid conscious with individually wrapped breads/bagels, cereal, oatmeal, and the ability to make some nice waffles so good for the money. My only minus to this place is the water pressure/shower head sucked and because it's pet friendly hotel, I could definitely smell the traces of dog pee in my room which I don't understand why they have carpets here and not hardwood floors? Otherwise my room was huge, clean and it was nice to have a suite where we had the bedroom separate from the living room and a little fridge and microwave to be able to keep stuff for the kid n kitten. Would definitely be back for a revisit.

I'm rather upset. We booked for this location by the airport, but they moved our booking to a location by the strip. My mom had to do a major surgery and we wound up paying double to Uber where we needed to go in addition to how much farther away we were from the airport. The one we now have to stay at is quite horrible. So many things are out of order, it smells gross, the room was too hot at night even though the AC was set to 66°, and the area to purchase snacks or drinks is almost completely empty... Only positive- I didn't see any bugs. Update: In response to their reply, hotels have each other's inventory if they have the same owner. I don't appreciate your response. Regardless, it was booked online and NOT over the phone. Additionally, the pool was dirty the whole time we stayed there. They restocked the snack area on our last day there, so Saturday seems to be their restocking day. I included a picture of the elevator door with scary scratch marks, the treadmills which were both out of order inside a gym with a broken thermostat that was stuck at 90°F, and the snack area after it was finally restocked. The juice machine was out of order the whole time too.
