The store itself is 4 stars. The owner lacks BASIC customer service skills, he's at 2 stars. I averaged it at 3 stars.
Edit after comment by owner:
What kind of owner DOESN'T like it when first time visitors browse?
I had been planning on spending money, specifically on Forgotten Circles as well as miniatures. The owners pattern of rude behavior started BEFORE he insisted on calling me sir three times in short order, even though I had made it clear it's not my preference.
What kind of undertone do you have to have when people are offended by you calling them sir? You have to come across pretty creepy to do that. The only way you can cover that up is to hide behind fictitious claims that someone else was offended by that customer.
What kind of owner forgets that they are there to serve their customers? What kind of owner actually is so rude that they dissuade someone from making a purchase?
He talks about his military upbringing. If he actually was familiar with the words of Eisenhower, one of our greatest military leaders, he would have embraced the peace symbol on both my belt buckle and my shirt.
Or maybe he is always rude, and he doesn't need a reason. No wonder he has had to cut back in employees and the hours...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love coming here and I have a great time whenever I do! They have a large and active Discord server so you can easily find and communicate with other people to meet up and play. The community here is pretty friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This store also hosts a monthly tournament for both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40k and it can get really busy and active during those days!
As for the store's selection of products, it has a decent variety of miniatures and board games for Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Old World as well as some D&D stuff and other lesser known games. The best thing about this store is that you can trade-in your miniatures for store credit as well as see and buy what others have traded-in at their pre-owned corner shelf. Some of the ones that got traded-in can be really well-painted or are out-of-print models, all sold at pretty decent prices. My only gripe about their selection is their hobby and painting section. It can be a hit or miss but sometimes they do have really nice hobby stuff like Tamiya super glue laying around.
Overall, War Room Games is a great place to check out, buy, trade, and enjoy tabletop hobby gaming with other people in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecent amount of Magic the Gathering. However out of the three apparent staff members, only one of them actually approached us and asked if there was anything they can help with. No big deal but when I said I needed MTG, he kindly directed us to the counter where it felt I was ignored until I was directly in front of a staff member. Most of the interaction was just plain awkward and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. At one point the person helping me had to ask someone else where something was and they pretty much berated them for not seeing something that was āin their faceā despite the items being looked for not being properly labeled⦠seems like a really great store, but Iāve had better customer service...
