Super 8 by Wyndham New Castle — Hotel in Pennsville Township

Made reservation online. Was told because we were checking in late after 9pm we would be offered a 1pm checkout. Upon arriving at hotel, a man was sitting behind the desk on his phone and did not acknowledge me when I walked in. I had to tap on the window to get his attention. Once I gave my drivers license and made mention of the late checkout he informed me he "could not do it". I asked for a manager. He picked up the phone. Spoke a foreign language and a man came walking from a room behind the registration desk. The man was disheveled looking and was wearing a wrinkled tshirt and shorts. He proceeded to tell me he cannot give me a late checkout. At this point I am now upset. Not only was I lied to by Wyndham reservations, I was being told he is now refusing to allow me to stay. I drove 6 hours north, am a nurse who lives in Delaware but is working in Virginia and wanted to isolate from my family for the night. As I work with Covid19 patients. My travel was essential because I needed important documents from Delaware to continue to work in Virginia. I tried to explain to the "manager" but he picked up the phone as if he was going to call the police. I then left the motel and slept in my car. I have never felt so disrespected. He cancelled my reservation but because it was less than 24hrs he will still be paid. I called corporate to make a complaint and was told they would call me within 24 hours. If I find resolution, I will revise this review. However, I will never make reservations at this motel again. I will ensure ALL my colleagues, friends, and family tell all of their colleagues, friends, and family.

To the managers reply that I dis not have papers. I had my I'd badge showing I was a RN! You NEVER asked. Also, when the reservation was made nothing was mentioned about showing a "paper" saying I'm essential. You are a liar and trying to make it seem like you are customer friendly. You are the WORST type of hotel manage . You LIE on Rhe public when the narrative/truth makes you look bad. BEWARE public!!! They do NOT honor what their reservation...

When I checked in for two days I said my self and my two children it was a man who checked us in that night in the morning my daughter got dropped off for a few hours my oldest son went to grab breakfast and came back not too longer after my other son went down to the car to grab a few things This lady decides to tell me that I have multiple men coming in and out and its a no visitor rule so I tried to show her there school Ids and she refused to look at it I said its the same two boys I even asked her to look at the camera she then says well my daughter has to leave because she wasnt checked in and its a no visitor rule I told her we have another night here and I told her my oldest was leaving she still proceeded to say my daughter has to leave I said even if my son leaves I signed in two kids does it matter which ones she then says she will lock us out the room and check us out if we dont leave even though we had a extra night I was so confused as to why she decided to watch our every move and it was a lot of other guest coming in and out the whole night because we kept hearing doors open and shut all night just so I wouldnt let my emotions get the best of me we packed up and left will never return this lady has serious issues but the rooms are very outdated and so is the whole place highly...

Oooh. This was a rough one, man. We stayed here because we were at Pyrofest and needed a smoking room, which of course are nearly impossible to find. so I called for a reservation earlier in the night and we arrived around midnight. Ok now I'm gonna say this: I'm well aware that as a smoker I'm in the minority so I usually don't expect much in a smoking room. But this freaking motel, man. The entire thing was like a blast from the past..: I was waiting for don Henley to come out and serve me pink champagne on ice. It was dirty, SO OUTDATED AND OLD FASHIONED, and the room itself was FOUL. Burn holes EVERYWHERE and on EVERYTHING. I asked for a blanket from the front desk because I refused to sleep under any sort of covers and the lady made me come get it didn't even bring it to my room (I know that sounds bitchy but like its a hotel people stay in hotels to be accommodated), and it was just really a creepy, bad experience. I will say get gave us extended checkout tho so that was nice. ALSO- the main reason I was angry was because there was no sort of discounted rate. I think I paid like $100 some for that janky room... I could've stayed in a way better room for that money, and I have stayed in super 8s in the $60 range in way better shape than this place. Don't do it unless...
