Had a strange experience at this place. Went in on a Friday after work, found a used vehicle I liked, went on a test drive and it needed some work. They had just gotten this car as a trade and it hadnt been through service so no big deal, they were going to do the work.
Went through the process of submitting my request for financing but it was late in the day and couldnt get it wrapped up the same day. They asked if I could come back tomorrow to which I obliged. They called Saturday afternoon that everything was ready and asked me to come in. I go, sit down with my salesman: he brings over a scrap of paperwork with a monthly payment written down in marker that was astronomical and made no sense. We had never discussed the rates they got from the bank, my trade-in, etc. When I asked how the payment could possibly be that high for a $10,000 car you would have thought I was insulting someone. After some himming and hawing, he came back with more numbers roughly drawn on the scrap of paper. After no discussion about trade, they were the lowest number I had gotten from any dealership(and I had shopped around a while). Including financing, they wanted me to pay $19k for a $10k car. After declining such a "deal", the salesman started on about how hes already had multiple people call and offer cash for the same car, etc. Either way, it was a weird turn after I had spent 4 or 5 pleasant hours with these people to suddenly ruin it by trying to hide information from me and then acting like I was insane for it. I get it, someone else was coming with an easier sale but thats not a reason to treat people poorly and I cant help but feel that the lack of information/numbers was a blatant attempt to deceive.
This was a while ago and looking at the website it does appear that the salesman I was working with is now, unsurprisingly, gone but none the less its a poor practice and I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone as a result.
EDIT: I received a reply from the manager but could not reply to them so I will put it here. This would have happened last March I believe. I understand that their belief is that this is not how they do business but it happened so in this instance that was not the case. There was nothing to bring up at the time as I wasnt paying double for a car and there was nothing left to resolve. It may be worth mentioning that I also went to the Carman Ford/Lincoln dealership to look at another vehicle and this event came up in our conversation. They said that they brought it up with management or ownership at the time so I believe it was addressed but who really knows. The salesman I was working with was at the desk next to the used car manager and whenever I needed more information, the salesman was walking over to him to jot down more notes with his marker so he was well aware of what...
Read moreNever going back here. I had front brakes put in, 3 months later was experiencing pretty scary shaking of the car while breaking. I called their service and they told me to bring it in so they can re-check the parts and the repair work. I know from being in the auto industry that these parts as well as labor are still under warranty. Re-checking a repair that soon into the warranty period is normally considered warranty labor. They never once claimed there would be a diagnostic fee for checking their own work of a part under warranty. Not on the phone before or after dropping off. Not until I went to pick it up and they refused to let me have the car until I paid for the labor of re-checking the repair. When I asked to speak to the service manager and I asked why this wasn't considered warranty labor and why I wasn't told there would be a charge. He told me the parts are not warrantied because even though they billed it as front brakes, they really replaced the rear brakes and mistakenly rang then up as front brakes. Not only is this a lie, but I had the rear brakes and rotors replaced at a different shop in May 2024, one year prior to getting my front brakes repaired. I even have the invoices from both the other shop and their shop proving this. The service manager having been caught in a lie then told me I cannot claim more than one warranty at their shop (I had defective front rotors which needed warranty replacement.) even though this was a totally different part. Needing to get my car back I paid it and told him I'd be taking it up with his superior. When I did, after saying he needed to review and get back to me, he finally did after I called him back days later, at which time he repeated all the lies his service manager told me, and claimed that I was scheming to get them to do work for free (I've been coming there for years and have tremendous respect for mechanics having grown up around them including my own father, and would never do that) because I also mentioned when I dropped it off that I had an indicator light for the tire pressure system. Which they said wasn't on when they checked the car but the mechanic had to check the tire pressure. I will never go back there and have disputed the charge with my credit card company and provided the paperwork discrediting their lies. It's a shame because prior to this I have had nothing but good experiences there, but this was completely...
Read moreWell, Joe, you wanted me to review. Here's your review. I brought my vehicle in for service in February (front end vibration and metallic scraping sound when going over bumps). After being told that I was HEARING the harmonics of the engine and the technicians could not replicate the vibration issue, I went to the dealership to show the technician the issue. Then, the technician proceeded to tell me that it was because I purchased a four cylinder, it was because of the pitch of the engine and my engine mounts could be replaced. Joe, the general manager, reached out to me due to a "1 star review" that was not showing up in my history and asked me to give them another shot. He was going to get me a loaner vehicle and figure out this issue. I brought my vehicle to the dealership again on a date that Joe and I agreed on. Upon arrival, Joe did not recall who I was. He had no vehicle ready due to the snowstorm and all of his vehicles being loaned out. No courtesy for a phone call to let me know though. However, I ended up with a vehicle from the sales lot. After having to run back and forth from the front of the building to the service department to unlock and unload my car to get home and not one offer of anyone to help or even take the keys at least, I ended up getting a call the following day around 230 that they were going to start looking at my car and expected to give me an answer by close. Around 5pm, I received a call from the dealership saying that there is nothing wrong with the car (again) but the technician has a similar problem and simply puts his vehicle in neutral!? However, they were having my vehicle detailed. I went the next day to pick up my vehicle and I couldn't have been pushed out of there fast enough. No explanation, no allowance for questions. When I got in my car, there were no courtesy mats, and it was clear it had not been detailed. I sent an email to Joe asking if it was detailed. He said it should have been vacuumed and windows cleaned. I showed him the picture (attached) I took when I picked up the car. And I haven't heard from him yet. I contacted Dodge because I refuse to believe that putting my brand new car in neutral or having the motor mounts replaced are acceptable. Oh, and when they "detail" a vehicle it means they don't...
