This past 25th through the 27th my family and I had the pleasure of staying here at this hotel. We had to get out of our apartment while it was being repaired and because the fumes weren't safe for humans or animals to inhale, we had to vacate for 48 hours. We didn't want to travel too far and the location of this hotel was very convenient for Us. It's only about 1.2 miles from Our apartment. Plus this place is literally about 2 minutes to the freeway. The veiw 🪟was nice cause we could see the freeway and most of the main streets from our hotel room. Pretty cool to see big rigs🚛 exiting off the freeway to stop and get gas in the early hours of the morning. One thing I can say about this hotel yes it's old and it needs to be updated and refreshed but the staff there is so wonderful and they definitely make up for the cosmetic appearance that this hotel lacks. At check in, the manager Ms. Amber was attentive, respectful, considerate and mad sure she and her staff was top of all the needs of my family and I! For example when my wife and I went swimming and they had pool towels. They also have a small, but nice fitness area. I am physically disabled with a service animal 🐕🦺and they welcome him there with no problems. Anything my family and I needed, we were able to get from the front desk or it was brought up to to our room. Upon entering our room, you can smell the fresh and cleanliness👃🏾 ( wish I could have gotten the name of the air freshener they use in there by the way). The beds🛏️ were so comfy! Especially for somebody like me with a bad back waiting on a back fusion I honestly didn't want to leave that bad it was so comfortable. Nice fluffy pillows and the rooms are decent size! Oh and the air conditioners, my goodness I sure wish I had one in my house. They blow ice cold 🥶🧊and during the summertime one Perris, when we were are in triple digits most days, that A/C was our best friend! The housekeeping 🧽there is absolutely phenomenal!!!! I would have gave it five stars had the hotel been updated and unfortunately the sinks and showers drain a little bit slow. However, other than that we enjoyed our stay. I definitely took advantage of the free coffee and tea☕ They have a nice selection of herbal teas 🍵available for their guests along with coffee. The coffee was actually delicious and they had the option of flavored creamer or half and half. They also have sugar and sugar substitutes available for the guest which I thought was great and I definitely took advantage of it during my stay😂. No it's not the best location, but it's Perris but come on guys 🤷🏾♀️ The staff and housekeeping🧹 makeup for everything else! If my family and I ever needed to stay in the hotel again close to my house I would definitely choose this place. Thank you Red Lion for making our family stay as comfortable as...
Read moreWe stayed here four years ago and it was good so decided to stay again as we were in the area, what a dissapointing difference. I will go on to Hemit to spend the night if I am in the area again. This was our first trip and stay after COVID shut down last year and we are sad to see how far this declined especially after hearing how hotels really cleaned up everything during the shut down. ||||I am going to list the main points we had with Red Lion Inn but the whole facility was very dirty. I did know they did not serve a hot breakfast so this was not a factor. ||I did expect a coffee maker in the room per the Red Lion Inn web site which they do not have any longer. Told to get coffee in lobby but when I went down there was not any Decaff Coffee available and the whole station was a mess and filthy. I am not sure I would have tried it if it was avaliable as I felt it was not cleaned in a long time.||||We are in our 70's and they put us on the third floor with a broken elevator so had to climb the stairs to the third floor everytime to get to our room.||||The lobby and hall ways were dirty with food on tables and carpets. The stairs were dirty and the wall by the third floor has graffiti. Third floor hall way was trashy and the carpet had not been vacuumed in a while as there was paper clips and trash everywhere.||||In our room the curtains looked to have dark grease marks on them, the carpet had stains everywhere and the TV remote control did not show signs of being cleaned as it was just tossed on the desk. I also had to fix one of the desk lamps in order to get it to work.||||When I booked the room it was as a couple but the room only had one set of towels. I did not want to make another trip up and down the stairs to get another set.||||I did not roam the whole hotel but I never found a Ice Machine or vending machines in my search or a facility layout indicating where else to look.||||The lady on the front desk was not helpful of pleasant to deal with, just sign the form and give me a credit card and instructed us to use the stairs when she told us the elevator was broken and to busy to be disterbed after that.||||In a normal year were on the road a lot and spent up to 50 nights in various rooms all over the southwestern US. In the last 5 years we have only incountered two other facilities that matched the dirt and staff we found here.||||I know it is the only place in Perris but I suggest you go on to Hemit to get a room rather than stay at this Red Lion Inn again. So sorry to see this go so far down hill when they should have it nice and clean after...
Read moreTldr: We made a huge mistake staying here. If your considering this place because its cheap or even local to your event, do NOT stay here. It will ruin your trip, you would have way better luck staying somewhere else. If I could go back and pick another hotel I would, even if it was a 10 min drive in the surrounding cities. I wish I would have read and listen to these reviews. This place is not even the most economical and has HORRIBLE service. It shouldn't even be considered a Hotel it's more in line with a Motel.
The story: My husband wanted to splurge on our anniversary and go on a hot air balloon ride and stay in a "suite" at this nearby lodging. It was their most expensive room available so he was expecting the quality of the room to be what he'd paid for right? The pictures looked good enough. Wrong. We tried to ignore all the little things like all the stains on the curtains and carpet or how stuffy the room was, and focus on our trip and make the best of it but all these little things kept adding up.
The patio light was out. (So our plans on eating a romantic dinner on the patio was spoiled.)
The AC and the heat didn't work and there were plug in heaters in the rooms.
They claimed free WiFi but the single was so weak it would kick you off of it.
The tv would auto dim and matter what settings we changed, watching a movie was a nightmare having to pause every 3 mins because it would get to dark to see.
Worst of all was the restroom. The drain in the shower was broken. Legitimately broken with sharp edges with a gapping hole were the other half was missing.
The drain cover in the middle of the bathroom was missing.
After a long drive to get there we use the facilities in our room and the toilet paper holder falls off the wall...
Oh and fyi the toilet paper and face tissues here are so cheap and scratchy best to bring your own.
That was the last straw. We immediately went down to the front desk and told the girl behind the counter everything wrong with the room. She apologized and said maintenance was gone for the day but they would let him know first thing in the morning to fix it. I asked if there are any other rooms we could stay in even if we had to down grade. She said they were already booked. And there was nothing else that could be done. The next morning maintenance shows up 10mins before his shift is over and nothing gets fixed. Complain to front desk they give us managers phone and email but won't be in till 3 days later. 5 attempts to contact manager...
