One of the nicer parks in the City of Perris in a calm area, built in 1956, remodeled in 2011 and was then named after World War 2 Army Veteran Bob Long who moved to Perris after the war and was involved in the Perris Little League. Mr. Long passed away in 1968. Bob Long Memorial Park is across the street from a higher income neighborhood with a proactive Neighborhood Watch program. The State Government office next door to the park provides video recorded surveillance of their property with the park in its sights. There's also video recorded surveillance all around the park. The Government office, and the Riverside University Health Clinic off of Redlands Avenue provides a committed law enforcement presence in close proximity, deterring unlawful activity from bad actors.
