Hilton defined is "dirty hotel". Feel free to look it up in the dictionary. I will wait. Immediately walking into the room there is a toe nail on the floor! It was not hidden or difficult for housekeeping to see. Nope, right in the middle of the floor. Other than that, the room was pretty decent. The bed was comfortable, little sound could be heard from the hallway and the place was sold out so hall traffic was heavy. The hallway smelled like Marijuana, the floors were dirty. Hilton always have dirty hallways anymore. I don't know if they lack help or they lack time to actually vacuum. This is all Hiltons since Covid. The elevator panels were gross, too. The pool was small for a hotel of this size, but almost no one was there this evening. The water was cold and the room cool. The hot tub was nice with 15 minute timer for Jets. Towels were out and we had to request some. There were two tables and only a handful of chairs. There is no complimentary breakfast. Buffet is $11. The breakfast area was virtually empty and the waitress sitting at a counter on her phone. We went to Lamplight Cafe for breakfast at about $8 per person for mostly cooked to order, higher quality breakfast.

The property was wonderful! Check in was quick and painless while friendly and professional. The room was very comfortable with all of the standard amenities that I've become accustomed to while at Hilton properties. Walking through the doorway of my room, (it has been a nice addition to my stay) cracking the seal of the decal knowing my room hasn't been touched since inspected and cleaned. The bedding was plush and bed comfortable, the weight of the blankets/comforter always stand out as being much nicer than all the other hotel brands as well as compared to other Hilton properties. Shower had great water pressure and the towels were soft and fluffy which is always nicer than some of the older towels that are on par with 80 grit sandpaper. I'd highly recommend this hotel as having some of the kindest staff and nice accommodations. I only hope that I'll be able to see how impressive the property will be when Covid restrictions are finally lifted.

Perfect location, first time in this area. It’s perfectly convenient to restaurants and hot spots but secluded, at the end of the road, to where you don’t feel overwhelmed by traffic. I actually picked this Hilton location for my wedding reception in December. On the day of, they put a picture of me and my husband and a wedding announcement on one of the tv screens in the lobby area. They offer a lot of decorations, some photos attached below. Made it very easy and stress free for me to wedding plan. They all turned out beautiful. The majority of the guests at my wedding stayed here and they loved it. Melissa is one of the event planners there and i can’t even explain how good she was with this event in particular! Best customer service I’ve ever had. The breakfast was delicious the next day. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Any time I return to this area in the future this will be my top choice!

This has ultimately been THE WORST stay in a hotel that I have ever had! The front desk staff are extremely RUDE and all need a lesson in CUSTOMER SERVICE. This stay started bad when i booked a smoking room only to find out they do not provide them. The staff threw up their hands and said there was nothing they could do. But if I had booked through them instead of expedia they could help me???!! Apparently the Hilton Garden Inn Satisfaction Promise is only for those who book through them. The nasty attitude that was given to me for complaining about the smoking room not being available is UNACCEPTABLE and instigated my dissatisfaction. The shower in room 706 completely shuts off while you are showering and then blasts back on with freezing cold water. Of course when maintenance came up it worked fine. But three ppl took showers at 3 different times and it happened to all of us. I took the 2 kids down to the "pantry" which on the website showed stocked with ice cream and other snack treats only to find nasty frozen fish dinners and a FEW other random frozen dinners. So of course I asked the front desk about it only to be blew off with idk that's all we have????!!!! I also asked about pets and was advised only service animals. I informed him that my neighbor who is a registered sex offender checked in earlier with his 2 mangy mutts and the clerk became obviously irritated and said "i don't know what he is." I said i just thought you would want to know one of your guests has 2 dogs here. Went to go back to our room then there is the keys that mysteriously stop working after you have made a complaint. And the level of attitude received when I slid the card across the counter out of ABSOLUTE FRUSTRATION, Was INFURIATING. This was supposed to be a way to reduce stress after being displaced from home due to storm damage...EPIC FAIL HILTON!!!!!! OHHH and get your HOT TUB FIXED!!! Definitely would give you 0 stars if it would let me and I cannot wait to talk...

Stayed here for a night on a nearcation on December 30, 2023, haven't left Michigan in four years. Visited the casino and a couple area restaurants. It was nice. The hotel room was great, staff was great, just not pleased with many of the corporate policies that would make me reconsider coming back. They wanted to charge $8.00 for parking but then the front desk claimed they weren't actually doing it...yet. They wanted to charge $5 for internet that you could actually stream with, which I found unnecessary and annoying. They wanted to charge extra for breakfast. I get that it wasn't the standard nasty free hotel breakfast but if I really wanted it, I'd just go to Waffle House, Scramblers or some of the other places. The shower was awful but did the job. I enjoyed the bed, that was lovely. The office chair in the room was so great I wanted to steal it, lol. The TV was trash but did the job, wish 55 was the standard and the picture quality was better. Only watched the Lions game but was expecting something decent. Would kind of like streaming options at most hotels but I know you can bring your Roku or whatever but I forgot.

I guess the worst part was the event going on in the conference center in the evening. It was like the same song over and over and the bass just SHOOK MY ROOM!!! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BAM BOOM BAM BOOM BAM!!!! Whole time I watched the Lions game. I'm from the Caribbean, I can deal with that but I was like, dang, the whole night? It was UNCOMFORTABLE. I kept looking out the window to see when the police would come because I knew other people were more sensitive and unhappy. Thankfully, it ended like right at 11 PM. I understand you're having an event but that bass was INSANE. I never experienced anything like that, even in Vegas.

I'd stay here again without a doubt, but I hated the pricing games. Also control the event...

As a Hilton Honors Member, and frequent patron of Hilton, I was disgusted with Haley. Haley was working the front desk when I checked in. She gave me a really hard time upon check in, and I was very flustered toting my toddler and 8 year old after a long travel. Haley insisted that I could not check in using my sister’s friends and family discount. I’ve done this before with no issues. We were not asking for the employee rate, but the F&F only. I was totally understanding and ready to do whatever I needed at that point to check in, but when asked if I could double check with a manager, she said quote “I would offer that, but I am the front desk supervisor, and I am well versed in this policy.” Her attitude was very unwarranted and snotty especially since I was nothing but polite and professional the entire time. Finally, after calling my sister, who is also an employee… Haley called someone by the name of Brittany (presumingly a manager) and Brittany let her know that it was fine for me to check in. I was listed as a guest. Haley proceeded very sarcastically to demean me. She said “Oh, I see you have kids, how many? I’d like to get you some complimentary breakfast. I like your nails, cute color. Didn’t mean to stress you out, I guess I’m not as versed as I thought on the policy. Are you ok?” NO! IM NOT OK!

She also didn’t offer me a Hilton Honors guest package which is typically water or cookies which honestly wasn’t a big deal but point it she totally made HH look bad considering everywhere else that I stay almost always provides immaculate service.

All In All— She made me very uncomfortable and never apologized. I recommend she be retrained because her pretend professional attitude can be seen right through.

Lastly— COURTNEY WAS AMAZING! She was our server at breakfast, and the food was prepared really...
