Cool place and that whole little plaza is very nice. 2nd cool thing was once inside the comedy club, you can actually order food and they will serve it right to you in your seat. I sat right in the front of the stage (literally I could reach over and touch it). I ordered an "Aunt Nadia Salad" and some fries (I'm vegan), and it came in this giant bowl. Their portions in general are very good. The salad was really good, fries also. And the lighting was perfect enough to still eat without having to squint or struggle to see what you were eating. I came to see comedian "Godfrey" and he was hilarious. I laughed so long, and so hard my jaws were sore, and it felt liked I had went and worked out at the gym, lol. They had a warm up guy, and an opening comedian but they were just okay. Nothing against them, they were just not my brand of comedy I prefer. The one bad thing I can say is that it should be very clear what to do, and where to go once you come in the building. When you arrive, you are downstairs at a desk. But there's a sign that says if you already have tickets, you can bypass the desk and go right upstairs. Fine, but once you're upstairs, you don't know where to go because you are surrounded by tables, chairs, a bar, and a stage. Doesn't that sound like the comedy club area? Nope! That's actually the "Toledo Fat Fish Blue" restaurant. Apparently, they share floor space with the comedy club. But it's the stage that really threw me off! There was a line in front of me...kinda? But it wasn't clear where the line was leading? So I asked the girls in front of me, and they confirmed it was for the comedy club. It was not until the line suddenly started moving that I realized that high above is their Funny Bone sign along with a pair of Marilyn Monroe & Elvis mannequins. They should have a host at the podium directing you...
Read moreFrom the point of entry to the moment we left, this was an excellent experience! The gal who checked us in for the comedy show told us it was going to be a, “fabulous night! “ & it was.
Jacqueline was our server and took excellent care of us. She answered questions about the menu and was very attentive!
We ordered the club sandwich and split it and we also ordered the mozzarella sticks. Note, we serve the same mozzarella sticks in our restaurant, and I absolutely love them! I believe the sandwich was 15 bucks and the mozzarella sticks were $12. They advertise their specialty drinks online and they are much more expensive.
$7 for a 16 ounce draft beer is standard for a place like this and they serve it on a 20oz glass to give you a proper head.
We shared our table with another couple that we didn’t know. We knew this going in and planned on sitting on one side together. 😅
During the show, my husband wanted a Diet Coke and it was like Jacqueline appeared out out of nowhere Took care of that for us. She was very unobtrusive during the show, and that was appreciative as we had front row seats!
We can’t wait to return again to see another comedian. We are both in our 50s and really would have loved to spend more time in the arcade prior to the show. $4.95 for a wristband that gives you unlimited access to all of the games was pretty cool.
Next time, knowing that our seats will be reserved, we will likely come about an hour early to play games and head in about a half hour before the...
Read moreMy first time at the funny bone was this past Friday to see Steve Trevino. Very good show, I laughed my butt off. The atmosphere is nice, crowded, but nice. I hate to be that person because I know everyone is short staffed and times are rough, but I do believe that the funny bone should've been a bit more prepared considering the tickets online said "sold out". We ordered a few drinks, that took a little bit of time to make. No big deal, the show hadn't begun yet. I ordered a $18.00 drink that came in a souvenir glass, however when it arrived it was in a plastic cup with a straw, also no rum runner. We asked and apparently the dish washer was down so they had to use paper plates and throw away cups. Okay, no big deal, she said she would give me the cup to take home. We then placed our food order, about 6:45, 45 minutes prior to the show starting. When the show started we still didn't have our dinner. One how and half into the show we told our waitress that if the food wasn't already cooked, to not worry about it. A few minutes later we had our food, which we took to-go. So basically, I'm not sure if this was just an "off" night for them or if this is typical. All in all, I enjoyed the show and would definitely go back. I'd probably eat elsewhere before the...
