my daughter pasta with butter came with margarine on it and which butter is listed on the menu and the server didn’t make us aware of the use of margarine even after I told her my daughter thought the pasta tasted funny. the server said that’s because it was put in the grill when in reality the issue was taste of the margarine.
I got a large bowl with broccoli, mushroom, edamame, tofu and salmon with half white rice and half zucchini noodles. One of the cooks said I should do 2 sauces due to the amount of food. This was my first meal that day so since I was starving I ate all of it, the sauce ruined the entire dish, the sauce was sweet and made everything taste the same and I was severely bloated and felt a burning pain in my stomach right away eating the food. I called hours after eating the food and was offered a refund on a gift card. But then since my daughter got sick from the food the next day I wanted my money back on form of original payment. I called spoke with a different manager who falsely claimed I already spoke to him, he refused to gift me refund via original payment. Said most restaurants use margarine because it’s cheaper which is not true because most of the restaurants I have ever been to used real butter I know that because margarine tastes completely different from butter. This restaurant puts butter on their menu but doesn’t use butter and they feel it’s the customers job to believe that certain items such as butter that are listed on the menu will not be served or believe something’s used that’s not on the menu. And the cooks should know that teriyaki sauce makes everything in the bowl and should have never recommended two servings. Super disappointed...
Read moreMy wife and i decided to stop here while in town. It was a sunday about noon. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They asked if it was our first time there, which it was, then explained the various options. We both had been to other mongolian grills so we were familiar with the overall concept and process.
They had a good selection of vegetables and fruit, including mangos and pineapple. The protein section also had a good variety including scallops, salmon, whitefish shrimp. The crawfish listed on the website wasnt shown or how to ask to get it. We did forget to ask our server. However they were out of the sliced beef. The cubed beef pieces were overall a bit large, about an inch square or so. Honestly they would have been better half the thickness. The seasoning and sauce section were also well stocked, with the added touch of tasting spoons. This is a great feature. The only complaint was due to space, all vegetables and protiens were stacked two deep. This means you had to reach over items to get to the back row. Without trying to pack the bowl, it was still impossible not to have items fall into other items. Small trays would be a helpful feature.
Another nice touch compared to other mongolian grills is the rice or noodles are added by the cooks. They simply ask your preference. This saved space in the bowls. Both our dishes were cooked perfectly.
We both enjoyed our dishes. The flavors were good overall. Overall our experience and price was comparable to other mongolian grills that we have been to. The location was convenient, with plenty of parking behind levi commons street, with a nice walkway between the buildings. We will likely visit again when we are...
Read moreThis place has great food but there’s a few issues! One issue is that the bowls they give you are not big enough to fit the all food you pick out at the “bar.” The tongs used to grab the food are tiny and trying to get a decent amount of anything is hard because the bowl fills so quickly! And they don’t let you touch the food (THATS ALREADY IN YOUR BOWL 🙄) and they won’t let you wear gloves! So you can’t even smash the food down in the bowl to make more room! They’ll even tell you to stop and that they don’t allow it! I feel like it’s too expensive to have that little amount of food and then you have to do everything yourself! Which isn’t a bad concept. But it definitely becomes an issue when you’re not getting what you want and how much food you want. I like lots of veggies and a variety of meats in mine. But the bowls are so small it’s almost impossible! By the time you’ve picked out your vegetables there’s no room for any meat variety! I’d get only 5 pieces of meat if i tried to do it the way they want you to! And lately they’ve been heavily enforcing these “rules.” Needless to say I won’t be back anymore, and I’ve stopped recommending them to friends. Until they get bigger decent sized bowls or they make their staff do the bowls for the customers. Which should be done anyways instead of them enforcing all of these odd rules that only treat the customer poorly! The bowl may look big when it’s done but that’s only because they add all that rice and or noodles. In the end you’re not getting much bang...
