The front desk last Vicky was extremely rude to me over the phone when I called about the problems about my stay. I was treated so rudely and in a con·de·scend·ing manner, it was not suprising, but CH members shouldn't have been treated like that, period! The rooms had old, old, carpeting in them, vents in A/C Ptac units were filthy, dusty and housekeeping was not the best during my stay. Very hot hallways on 3rd and 4th floors, uncomfortably hot. It felt strangely weird that the breakfast attendant woman was standing there watching everyone, I suppose she was doing her job seriously but it was very odd, uncomfortable vibes, like if I took to much foods. I would get a scolding or they were counting. Masks were still being worn by general manager, and others, which I was uncomfortable with. They DO NOT work againt the Charlie-19!!! You can still get it with cloth masks, end of story. I regret staying here and the carpet was the same as a dumpy CI&S near MOA in MN I stayed at, old, not updated, retro, not remodled at all, except for lobby. The mantience guy, Russel, told me it was built in 1987 and he was still seeing orginal pipes and problems he had to fixed that hadn't been fixed that in that long. The pool looked extremely large, no hot tub (jacuzzi) which is lousy for a large CI&S this size, in a busy are of Pinellas, next to PIE! I felt treated so poorly that I wanted a refund and they refused, and I was told the manager was "going to do something, but he didn't know what" by above mentioned staff. I have stayed at many. Many Comfort Inn&Suites in different States and wouldn't stay at this on again. Many other places to stay, across the street, etc in this area.

Nightmare- DO not stay, especially if you have kids Hotel was located next to a strip club, Hotel smelled of weed, and not very clean. The carpet was heavily stained. Our toilet did not work at first arrival. We wouldn’t walk barefoot in the room. The bathroom floor didn’t look like it had been mopped and the doors had rust stains on them. Also, drawings on the wall, towel rod broken and the blanket had a large hole in it. I felt so unsafe with my kids there but it was so late when we arrived they were sleeping and I barely slept to make it through the night. Clearly, the hotel is used for drugs/quick stays as well. It was an awful experience. I contacted Joey, the general manager several times including an email with no response. The front office staff (Nancy) was dismissive and kept telling me “the GM was busy and in a long meeting”. I had to contact hotels.com 5…FIVE times to get the GM to respond to us and it wasn’t directly to me. I will be filing a formal complaint. Do not bring your family there and tricked by the photos you see online!

Carpet was so dirty it turned the bottom of my feet black, The couch was full of dog hair but supposedly they do not allow pets, I found multiple live and dead cockroaches in the middle of the night so I couldn’t change rooms or hotels. Nancy at the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive at checkout when I informed her about the situation. She then proceeded to rush us out telling the shuttle driver that we needed to go to the airport right now. So I never got a chance to talk to Joey the Manager. After getting through Security at the airport i called the front desk Nancy informed me that Joey was elsewhere on the Grounds. I was then put on hold for an extended period of time. When Nancy finally got back to me she said that Joey had gone to lunch and would not be back for over two hours. Update never got to talk to Joey talked to so called management today. They were very dismissive and denied everything. Said I should have talked to them sooner. Do Not Stay Here. I never will Again!

Compliments to this hotel and staff! We arrived fresh off an 8 day Carnival cruise from Port Tampa at around 8:00am. We were planning on leaving our bags with the desk clerk and just hanging out until our room was ready since check-in wasn't until 3pm. The sweet lady at the front desk checked and said she had 1 room available and went ahead and checked us in on the 4th floor. We tried our key cards but they didn't work. I went back down and she reprogrammed them again but they still wouldn't open the door. She then came up with me and used her master key card only to find that there was someone staying in the room. The previous night clerk apparently had checked in the room and hadn't put it in the computer system. The lady was very apologetic to the person occupying the room and us as well. We went back downstairs and she placed us in a 1st floor room and personally checked it out and made sure it was unoccupied. She also allowed us to get breakfast from the bar which was delicious and nice since we hadn't eaten breakfast yet. An older gentleman was in the lobby and he was very kind and offered us coffee and water later that day as we were heading next door to the Dunkin Donuts. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. If you have the opportunity to stay here I would highly recommend this hotel. There is a free airport shuttle to St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport. It is an older hotel which does show its age but is very well kept and has everything you need for a safe, quiet and comfortable stay. Don't let little hiccups in life keep you from smiling, saying please...

One reviewer said they did not believe it was nearly as good as other reviewers said, but we would disagree. When writing reviews we like to compare the property to others like it and we found this Comfort Inn to be among the best we have stayed at over the years. Yes, it is an older property, but our room had obviously been renovated in the recent past and the hotel itself seems generally well maintained. Yes, there is a "Gentleman's Club" next door, but we were never bothered by any noise or anything else from it. The road construction makes getting in and out a little tricky, but that is certainly not the hotel's fault. I'm sure it will be nice when the second elevator is functional again, but we never had to wait long for the one to come. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast more than adequate (and the breakfast attendant was very pleasant!) and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The pool area was very nice, also. Our only complaint was the Internet access in the room was very spotty and unpredictable. But the business center provided a great set-up for printing, etc. if needed. The noise from the airport did not ever bother us when in the room, but was a little loud sometimes when at the pool. But a few seconds and it was over, so not a big deal. For the money (and in comparison to the prices of other hotels in the area) it was a...
