Overall, it was a good experience. First, the good. From the reviews, it seems that this complex is fairly outdated. However, upon showing up, I noticed a lot of construction going on. It appears that the complex is renovating its rooms. Upon entering my room, it was clean and smelled nice. The bathroom counters look renovated, with a nice mirror. It looks like it has new shower heads, and spigots. The beds were decently comfortable, and all of the pillows were small, piling them on did the trick. The only reservation I have, deals with the quality of the renovations. It appears they are in a hurry to get the rooms renovated and are missing important details. For example the shower coupler to the wall wasn't connected. The shower controllers were not flush or connected to the back wall and release. Those are small issues, but useful for a good experience. The more important issue was the bath spigots. It turns out I couldn't get hot water until I realized that whoever installed them, did it backwards. The cold selector actually kicks out hot water and the hot selector kicks at cold water. I was about to call management and ask why the hot water wasn't working when I realized the problem. That is the type of issue that comes up when renovations are hurried. So if you could fix that on room 227, that would be appreciated. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The asphalt around the complex is in dire need of repair, and I hope that is included in future renovations. Note, although this was a decent and comfortable stay, the neighborhood is not the best, and several of my next door neighbors seem to be long-standing residents that were not keeping up their place well. Not a place for a romantic getaway, but just fine for a quick business trip. Especially considering...
Read moreI've stayed in a lot of budget motels, so I know not to expect the Ritz when I book them, but, this time, I spent the (considerably) extra for a jacuzzi room so I might have a chance to relax.
When I got into the room, it was ice cold because the heat was turned off. I mean, at least keep it at some comfortable minimum temperature to save on power, but have it on. I got this room because my truck's heater wasn't working. Talk about out of the cooler and onto the ice.
As I got the room up to temp, I got the water running in a shabby, but roomy tub. As the water got up to a good level, I went over to get in, only to find an almost-solid skim of skin oils, hair, and general filth floating on the surface of the water. This tub has obviously not been cleaned in quite some time. I cringed to just reach my arm in to pull the plug.
All of this would have made for a 2-star rating. Like I said, I know not to expect much. What took away the last star was the reaction at the front desk when I mentioned all of this. The clerk gave me a blank look, motioned at a coworker, presumably to make note of the complaint, then slid my receipt across the desk and promptly turned away to conspicuously ignore me. When I stood there in disbelief of the lack of any sort of apology or even acknowledgement, she looked up at me in annoyance, then ignored me again.
I wasn't expecting any sort of refund or anything, but some sort of acknowledgement of the problem would have been appreciated.
I've stayed here several times before, as it's very close to my company terminal and inexpensive, but never again. I'll spend a bit more to stay in a place that at least acts...
Read moreI rented the Jacuzzi room and the tub was terrible. It looks like the paint was coming off in so many places so it made it look dirty and not safe. The door was very hard to open from the inside you had to lift the handle up and down several times and pull very hard to get it to open. If an emergency happened it could be very dangerous. We drive a tractor for a living so management asked us to move it to the other end of the parking lot bc we were blocking one lane of traffic so we explained the importance of us needing to keep an eye on the truck due to tools being on it and such. They ask us to leave and they would refund our money. We booked through Priceline so our money could not be refunded so we moved our truck and hoped for the best. The. This morning we moved the truck back to the front just to put our things in it and another tenant starts saying things to my husband and calling him names for parking his truck where it was parked. I have never experienced such rudeness from people in all my 50 years. From the establishment and from the other tenants.. I wouldn't go back to this place if they said I could stay every night for free.. for the people that had good experiences I'm very thankful for that and for the people that had had experiences like me I'm sorry you had to experience what you did. May God bless you all. And for the Knights Inn. God bless you as well and I hope you have...
