To those best westerners who love to stay in this chain, this message is for you. I am a platinum member and have been staying in the best western hotels across California. This time I had a business trip to Dublin and I stayed at this hotel. My experience in one word is "horrible". Here are the things I didn't like about the hotel:
Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay in this hotel. I would never stay here if I travel...
Read moreIt was very bad experience for me. I booked 4 double beds non smoking rooms for my family and my kids teams . I was working late at that night I called at 4 pm on that Friday that I will be there late. I will be there around 9 or 10 pm. My team will be earlier than me but I will be there late at night. Save the room for me. The receptionist said OK. Don't worry. I got there before 10 pm that Friday night. I tried to check in. The receptionist told me there was no more room left for me, she filled all out despite booking, confirming and holding my credit card for that. If I want, I can stay in a smoking room. She can give one king bed without sofa bed. Me and my husband and 2 kids . We cannot stay in a smoking room and we can't fit 4 people in the one bed. She said sorry and she can cancel the reservation instead of helping me. She told me find the another hotel around there. Imagine finding a hotel at 10 o'clock at night with 2 kids is really frustrating. I booked ahead of time not to worry about this and I get there I don't have room anymore! I am a Best Western member and I stayed best western a lot of times. This is the bad experience I ever have in my life, wiping out my trust in Best Western. I will never stay there again, I will not book for my team and and I will never recommend to any one. Hope you don't get the same treatment as mine by booking with...

The hotel room itself felt dark, dated and cramped. The bathroom, sink/vanity and closet area was awkward and too tight. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. Linens were incredibly thin and my coworker commented on how rough the linens felt. Have to say I agree. Pillows and mattress left me feeling sore so much so that I woke up with a headache. Coworker had identical experience. Traffic noise was BAD! I am not an overly critical or picky traveler but found it nearly impossible to fall asleep. My coworker and I ended up laughing hysterically at just how bad it all was. Maybe we were just a little too exhausted. They do have a complimentary breakfast. We had a work conference that was serving breakfast so we didn't take advantage but looked like pretty typical fare. If a good nights sleep is critical I would look elsewhere. If you can fall asleep anywhere, under any conditions and you only care about the location this may be for you. For what it's worth none of the hotels in the local area received rave reviews from the...
