This stay has had more problems. However, the hot tub has been an issue both times. And it's more of an issue for people that actually want a "hot" hot tub.
The CON'S
-Banging on floor above us for hours. I am a nanny and pretty tolerant of kids. I don't even know if it was kids but it sounded like a gymnastics competition going on for hours. It was really agitating my son with special needs. I was able to hear the banging with my headphones on and watching a movie. That is how loud it was. I called to the front desk to ask them to quiet down but it never got better.
One of the most annoying thing about out room was the alarm clock going off every morning starting at 5:45am and every 5-10 min for at least 30 minutes. We were trying to figure out how to get it to turn off (but we were alarmed and woken suddenly which was not fun). Without turning on all the lights and fully waking up to figure out the alarm clock, it was just not working. We tried to unplug it but it is glued to the night stand. This literally happened every night and we thought we had turned it off, only to get awaken again. The first 2 nights this happened, I was trying so hard to disable the alarm clock that I couldn't go back to sleep at all. It really put me in a bad mood.
There was dry blood that was dripped on the TV.
When we arrived, the bath tub drain was so clogged where no water would go down at all. They had maintenence come to fix it and it worked fine after that.
Hot tub is not actually a hot tub and it is pretty dirty and dingy looking. If I had to guess, the hottest temp it was, was maybe 80-85 degrees. Hot tubs are usually 95-105 degrees. the jets aren't great either and you really have to fiddle with the knob to get it to turn on.
The pull out sofa in the studio with 2 queens is not something I would ever want to sleep on. It's a very dingy mattress. It was fine to sit on but if you are planning on using it as a bed, I would look at a different option. Kids that are very light may not mind.
-There is no freezer space in the mini fridge.
-Parking sucks at night. It was hard to find a space.
Early check in had a $45 charge which we are not used to. We stay at a lot of places and have always had that just be a courtesy.
-The comforter on the bed is pretty much like a thick sheet. I cant imagine it would provide any warmth when cold. A light puffy jacket has more fluff than this comforter does.
PRO'S
The room is nice size and I like that it has a counter top and sink.
It's nice looking, safe, good breakfast, nice atmosphere in general. I like that they have luggage carts. Other than the banging from the room above, the noise from other neighbors was non existent.
The beds are decent. Not the best but definitely not bad either.
In conclusion, while this stay was not ideal, we do not consider it a bad place to stay. We hope that our experience was not the norm and that improvements can be made to address the issues we encountered. We would consider staying here again in the future, but would hope for a more...
Read moreThis hotel has many issues like Clogged toilets and very dirty common areas which never get vaccumed looking at the front entry area itself. I recently stayed at this hotel and on my 2nd day of stay, the toilet clogged and overflowed so bad that it was a horrible sight to see upon my return to the room. When i returned to my room, the toilet and bathtub including the floor was filled with filthy toilet stuff all over. Upon immediately informing the front desk, they shifted me to another room apologizing for the trouble caused. Though it was the worst experience I had in my entire life staying in hotels, I still gave them benefit of doubt and moved to another room where I stayed for 4 more nights.
After checking out from the hotel, the General Manager of this hotel charged my Credit card that was provided for incidentals at $250 and never informed me during my stay nor at checkout. When I contacted the hotel why this charge was made on my card, front desk agent Niko informs me that the GM charged for the Plumber charges to fix the toilet and was shocked to hear that a hotel charging for their problems and on top of it, without the minimum communication or authorization from me. When I asked to connect to their GM , he was not available and after multiple attempts to reach him unsuccessfully, I am writing this review so no one else would go thru all the hassles staying at this hotel. There were much better hotels in the area and more importantly not fradulent management who never wants to face the customers trying to charge fradulently. My two cents -- Stay away from this hotel and surprised to see 4 plus ratings for the hotel and I am sure hotel might be manipulating...
