I placed a mobile app order for a normal and ultimate whopper combos. I specifically requested pickles on both burgers. I selected pickup at the counter, parked and the exterior doors were all locked. I had to go into the drive-through where I had lost 3 places in line trying to get into the store. I told the older female who was talking electronically to me to make sure pickles were on the whoppers, because the app hadn't shown them. I also tried to ask for other items, but she ignored me and told me to come to the checkout area.
When I got there, due to masks, the large plastic covering over the window, and loud ambient traffic noise, we couldn't hear each other well. I told her again that I wanted to make sure there were pickles on the burgers. I think she was saying that they had made sure to put them on, but I couldn't tell for sure. Since there was no way to go back into the store if there was a problem, I asked my son to check his burger, and he did, finding no pickles on it. I told them to please give me a side of pickles since there weren't any on the burger. There was another dark haired female behind the older female, and she seemed to be saying that she was sure they put pickles on them. I said they weren't there and to please give me a side of pickles. After arguing with me a little longer, the female in the back finally gave us the pickles.
When we got home, there were no pickles on my son't whopper, as we had confirmed at the checkout window.
My whopper was missing the tomatoes I clearly had selected, had almost no onions, minimal pickles, and barely any lettuce. It was just horribly and lazily put together, missing items or not putting sufficient items on it. I think it was a normal burger, because I eat beyond burgers at many different restaurants, and this one looked, smelled and tasted just like the burger on my son's whopper.
This experience was poor in every way. First of all, don't offer carry out if it's not available. This lost us valuable time and contributed to how cold our food was when we got it home.
Secondly, the staff needs to simply follow instructions on the order and from the customers. Don't argue with them, especially when you're wrong!
We have no plans to return to this Burger King...
Read morePlaced order through drive through. Expeditor ticket attached to bag. Cash payment made & no receipt was given. The transaction number was incomplete because the paper receipt wasn’t centered. The receipt given had the store name, address, phone number, ticket number, type of service (drive thru) , items ordered, transaction ID (last number cut off of receipt), date & time. The ticket had the order correct but the order was wrong filled incorrectly. One of items ordered was a fish sandwich. Upon arriving home, I discovered there was a crispy chicken sandwich inside of the bag instead of a big fish sandwich which was ordered. The expeditor ticket had correct items listed but the order wasn’t filled correctly. I tried calling the Pleasanton location 3 times. Phone rang until it was disconnected by their phone. I couldn’t fill out complaint on BK website because I had an incomplete transaction number based on the given receipt. I called Burger King customer service. It’s an automated phone call that directs you to their website. How can you resolve any issue if you cannot contact anyone from customer service or from the store location. Simply a poor way to conduct business!! Please check your order before leaving this location. There is no recourse if there is an issue with your order. Based on this fact, Burger King Pleasanton will not get any future...
Read moreMy toddler is very fond of fries here and every other day I buy them for him, sometimes redeeming the "$1 large fries" offer from my ios app. On this day as well I Went to the drive-thru after placing an order online and the person accepting orders told me that I had to buy something else with it. I requested him to check again if he is mistaking this offer for some other offer as I'd used the same offer a few times earlier and was well aware of its terms. Even mobile app let me place the order, I have the digital receipts. He started yelling at me and not giving me a chance to speak telling me it's not free, donno why, as I'd already paid through the ios app. My accent or color might have suggested to him that I can be treated in an inferior manner and don't deserve any respect. This almost made me cry while my son was present in the car while waiting for his favorite fries. It's not a question of $1 offer anymore, it's about disrespect I got for no reason. I'll be reporting this to consumer forums immediately and continue pursuing it until I get an...
