I chose this restaurant because I generally appreciate Mediterranean menu and go for vegan options. I was highly unsatisfied with this particular restaurant (restaurant for dummy vegans). Here is why: The service was too slow. We waited about 20 min to get a waitress to get our order taken. The place was almost empty.

Babaganoush was listed as a vegetarian appetizer but included in a vegan appetizer sampler. The waitress didn’t even know what vegan is and asked us. She said then that babaganoush contains dairy yogurt. So why it is in a vegan sampler then???

Vegan Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) were too vinegary. They were marked as a vegan appetizer but were served with a dairy yogurt.

Vegan Falafel dish contained just 4 sad small flat falafels (which were pretty bland) and a salad with a dairy yogurt dressing.

The veggie kabobs (2 ps) were served with parboiled rice (one of the cheapest rice out there. This rice is pre-steamed and dried for sale). Kabobs: Baby carrots were almost raw, lots of onions, 2 sad mushrooms, 2 mushy tomatoes).

I wished I try their Fava bean salad that I ordered but it was never delivered. Didn’t want to ask for it again as the service was slow.

Portions were small. We left hungry and disappointed.

Not coming...

When I originally found this restaurant I was so excited the owner was very accommodating personable and had super high quality of food and service.

Took my best friend recently she’s never been there I spoke so highly about it. In the middle of our experience we found out it was under new ownership. The reason we found out:

I was trying to complain …the waitress literally forgot to put our order in. It was a busy Saturday night and other people that got there after us had eaten and checked out and left and we were still waiting for our food! She was such a bad waitress and got her order so mixed up that we tried complaining once again to the owner or manager and she refused to let us speak to them. They even skipped down on the sauce that you get with the pita bread they used to give a lot more!

It will be a long time before I go back there if AT ALL !

or probably make sure that waitress is not there

I might do a carry out but I never once in my whole life not given a tip even for carry out but she did not deserve one because she was literally just evil and incompetent!!! by the way my friend was breast-feeding and needed to get an out and had to eat to keep her milk supply up and this lady server just...

Came here at 9:20, excited to try this spot at first since in the mood for some Mediterranean. Walked in with 2 people sitting inside. there was a girl at the bar that looked like she was putting the bottles away. I asked if the kitchen was still open and she said " let me check" , she took a good minute to come back out. I was 100% thinking she would say yes because attached below are the times and it says kitchen closes at 9:45pm. She comes back out and says kitchens closed. I was very shocked and disappointed. I told her the website says restaurant closes at 10:00pm and the kitchen closes at 9:45pm. She responded by saying " those are hours when we are slow" . To be it just sounded like " Tonight the kitchen is lazy and wants to close earlier than what our website says". I don't see how a business can be successful if you close 25 mins before your business hours on the website and make some money from walking in patrons like myself. I would suggest the owner can tell yelp/google to adjust the times when the restaurant is slow they close earlier.

Went to the pizzeria/Italian restaurant next door and...

We have been to the Mora Grill many times, and we had yet another excellent experience there. Outside tables were full when we arrived on a lovely Saturday evening, so we sat inside for a short period but the host Andreas moved us outside as soon as a table became available. We had Lamb Stuffed Grape Leaves as an appetizer, he had the Lamb Chops and I had a Greek Salad with the addition of Gyro. Everything was delicious!!!!! But the most delightful part of the evening was the dessert that Andreas suggested - Knafeh. We had never heard of it - a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with cheese, pastry and syrup. My husband isn't a huge cheese fan but was willing to try it. I know we will be going back again just to get the Knafeh! (I will note that our bill was a little on the high side because of the lamb, but we were happy to pay it. We understand how difficult it is today for small restaurants to survive. There are plenty of options on this menu for the more budget conscious.)

Visited Mona Grill Friday evening for alfresco dining after 4 days of rain.  Don't want to sit outside ample indoor seating available, too. Tucked in between other fine establishments, this gem is not to be passed up. Fresh Mediterranean cuisine is exactly what they serve. To start friendly, energetic (and handsome 😉) staff welcome you. Started out with a Passion Fruit margarita (WOW!!) & the hummus.  The pita bread arrived wrapped up in a black napkin to keep them warm, and the hummus was smooth & creamy. Chicken kabab arrived timely, hot, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly.   Rice was full of flavor, too. Varieties of wine to select from if that is your desire. Allow time to enjoy the people watching, the relaxed atmosphere.  Oh, ask for Gianfranco, (photo) he is AMAZING. Thank you for the delightful and quiet meal of deliciousness.
