5 Stars if I could give 10 Stars I would! Miraggio Italian Grill is a Pompano Beach treasure! Spectacular restaurant! Definitely the most beautiful design inside and outside right on the Intracoastal with outstanding water views for watching the yachts going by! The outside bar and seating area are completely protected from the sun, wind and rain! Even some TV’s at the bar to watch your favorite sports .. This is the new premier destination for waterfront dining! Open for Lunch, Happy Hour and Dinner! There is so much free parking making it easy and without any stress! The entrance is beautiful and you are greeted warmly by the friendly team members! I chose to eat outside at the bar so I could relax and watch the boats go by.. I met Bri, bartender extraordinaire! Charming, efficient, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional! I had the most memorable experience! Definitely exceeded my expectations! She’s wonderful! The service is excellent! Attentive and efficient! As a widow, I felt very comfortable sitting at the bar by myself. I felt like family! Now to the delicious food prepared by Chef Eltaro who is so talented and creative! The menu has something for everyone! I had the Eggplant Salad Stack, the Eggplant Rollitini and a side of sautéed spinach. (Please refer to my pictures) The Eggplant Salad Stack is so delicious! Crispy on the outside and tender and sweet on the inside! Delicately delicious! Chef Eltaro is creative! It’s a huge portion! Order it for the table as an appetizer and share it! You will thank me later! Trust me! Then I had the Eggplant Rollitini ! Wow! Filled with a delicate ricotta filling with a light tomato sauce. They are both prepared and presented with perfection! You can tell the passion Chef Eltaro has for his creations! I truly think both eggplant dishes were the best I’ve ever had! I love eggplant! Not only are they delicious but they are also very well priced! Very affordable! The sautéed spinach was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of garlic and olive oil. Read moreValet I was greeted immediately upon arrival. Valet parking was free, which was such a pleasant surprise. The woman assisting me was incredibly kind and welcoming.
Entrance Experience A manager held the door open for me as I walked in, which made me feel instantly taken care of. I was the first in my party to arrive, and the staff kindly pushed back our reservation to accommodate my friends who were running late. They personally escorted me to the bar and even offered a complimentary drink while I waited.
Bar and Service Brianna was behind the bar and made me feel right at home. She not only crafted a great cosmo but also shared the history of this new gem. Her warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch to the whole experience.
Atmosphere The ambiance was perfect. The music complemented the setting without overpowering conversation. They even have table fans set up to keep guests comfortable, which was thoughtful and appreciated.
View The view of the water is truly unbeatable. What amazed me was how quiet and peaceful it felt, despite being near a highway. You don’t hear the passing cars, and they don’t take away from the beauty of the scenery. It’s a relaxing, picture-perfect setting.
Serving Experience Our server, Emma, was absolutely wonderful. She catered to our needs with a warm, friendly attitude and remained attentive the entire time, even though we stayed a little after hours. She went above and beyond to acknowledge my friend’s birthday by bringing out a delicious slice of cake, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Food We started with the prosciutto pizza, and it was incredible. It was topped with a generous amount of fresh arugula, and the prosciutto was thinly sliced and flavorful with just the right touch of salt. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was crisp and topped with extra Parmesan, simple but so well done. The Bolognese was a standout. You could tell the meat had been simmered for hours it was rich, flavorful, and paired beautifully with what tasted like homemade pasta.
Overall This restaurant exceeded every expectation. From the service to the scenery to the food, Miraggio is a true hidden gem that we can’t wait...
Read moreI'm writing this review with the hope that it serves as a constructive learning experience for Miraggio Italian Grill. I surprised my wife with a Christmas dinner there, but unfortunately, our experience warranted a one-star rating.
The restaurant's exterior is stunning, and stepping inside reveals an impressive ambiance, especially with a seat near the intercoastal that promised a lovely evening. However, things took a turn for the worse from there.
After waiting over 15 minutes without anyone greeting us, a member of the waitstaff finally took our drink order. Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, which came out quickly—less than three minutes—but were only warm at best and excessively salty. Despite that, the view of the boats passing by was still enjoyable.
When it came time for the main course, we decided to share the Chicken Parmigiana. After requesting more water and another round of drinks, the chicken arrived at record speed. Unfortunately, that’s where the disappointment continued: the chicken had a rubbery texture, and the pasta was overcooked to the point of being nearly mashed potatoes.
Fourteen minutes passed before our drinks arrived, during which the waitstaff checked in to ask how our food was. We expressed our concerns about the chicken's quality and were told to mention this in the review so we could receive a complimentary dessert. Still, we were waiting on water that never came.
We tried to enjoy the pleasant weather and our lovely seating, but a staff member adjusted the spotlight shining into our area, making it difficult for us to see and requiring us to reposition it ourselves. After 20 minutes without our new drinks, we decided to settle the bill. This, too, took an additional 15 minutes to find a waitstaff member to help pay the bill, FYI still never received water.
While the views from the bar area are impressive, the food was among the worst I've experienced in memory, especially considering I travel over 75 days a year. Miraggio Italian Grill, I hope you can improve; you have a beautiful venue that deserves equally great food...
