Mattress Firm Poway City Centre — Hotel in Poway

I do not recommend this place at all. I went in to buy a bed and it was like buying a car. the sales lady was very dishonest and tried to sell us beds, sheets, pillows, adjustable frame, etc. without our asking. I asked what the cost of the adjustable frame was and she said she didn't know yet, and she came back with a price for everything. she told us we would also have to pay a $10.00 recycling fee. but it was included in the other place we ended up going. I said just the frame and after I asked 4 times, she finally told us. Delivery was to be $200.00 with a 2 hour window, and i asked if there were a cheaper delivery option and she said yes, they will deliver it tomorrow but you can't pick the 2 hour window, the delivery people will. so $150.00. their platinum delivery/ red carpet option. :P after an hour my card strangely didn't work on their terminal. I went the bank to check the card and they said it was under the limit and the card wasn't blocked, so it should have worked. I count it as a blessing. We went to Ortho instead in Poway, and we had 2 free 100.00 pillows and free delivery. Stay away...

What can I say? Honestly, this was one of the best purchasing experiences I have ever had. The customer service is top notch really and truly. Mariah was SO knowledgeable and so patient through the entire experience. She really made it a point to lay out all the facts and give me all the details which truly made the whole process so easy. On top of that she never pressured us to buy or made us feel bad for not being able to purchase day off despite how much time she spent with us. She just made sure we knew that she was available when we needed her. That was two weeks ago.

Today we came back and Mariah was not in house but Jillian was able to help us close out our purchase and again, what a wonderful experience! She was so kind and so helpful. She made everything so easy. I felt so well taken cared of today.

We visited this location to fulfill the warranty on our beds and while we got everything squared away, I feel the customer service was a little mediocre. He misread the email and gave us conflicting information which was extremely disappointing. Instead of apologizing for the misinformation he went on to explain that he would go ahead and take care of it. He also took every opportunity to remind us that he was going out on a limb to make sure we receive what we were entitled to AND a better quality product. If you take pride in your customer service you don't need to TELL us about it. It should speak for itself. We are happy that they honored their warranty and we appreciate the effort put in but we probably won't be back to...
