The Boba Co. — Restaurant in Poway

I have gone to the Boba Co a few times now and always been disappointed with the wait times, but accepted it because their drinks are delicious. We went today for a nice family treat, which we haven't had in a while, and were extremely disappointed with the service. Not only was one of the drinks the wrong size completely, but two of the drinks had the wrong type of boba in them, which I didn't even realize until getting all the way home. I understand things happen, so I called them up explaining that two of our drinks were wrong, to which the woman pointed out that I selected the wrong type of boba. I knew this wasn't the case, but apologized anyways, and checked my receipt. I did not select the wrong type of boba. So I get there and explain that my receipt has the correct information on it and she says no, I had to have checked boba and passion fruit popping boba because it's showing on her receipt that way. She says they're right next to each other on the page so I just need to be more careful when choosing my boba. Not only was I not in the wrong, but now I'm being insulted?! So I go to their website, and there's no other option for "passion fruit popping" vs. "passion fruit popping boba". So tell me what else I should have selected in this case? Based on the receipt she showed me, it looked like the line was too long so boba was pushed to the next line. So anyways, I get home again and it's wrong AGAIN!!! They put mango popping boba in. My kids just dealt with it, but needless to say, this has been a terrible experience with rude customer service and we will NOT be going back again! Well I have to say I was disappointed the drink was very sweet and the menu was not as extensive as tapioca heaven in mira Mesa. Any time I drink boba holds up to, or I should say has to hold up to their standards. The menu is not large and they do not have smoothies as where tapioca heaven does have smoothies. There was another boba place on clairemont Mesa boulevard that was just as fantastic as tapioca heaven and it's in I believe Asian market by a bowling alley I think. They have a lot of wonderful smoothies or milk teas. I love pina Colada and this company in poway Unfortunately does not have smoothies a just have juices and with milk or almond milk or oat milk. The portion for what you pay is very small here for $4.50 for a small drink at this company I can get a for 50 cents more a large at tapioca heaven and they have flavored tapioca as well not this company. So at least I tried it it was OK but it was not fantastic I am so sorry to say that. I am sure that there are a lot of people that love this place and everyone is entitled to their opinion and I've gone on their website that said it was coming in 2018 but you can't look at the website they don't have anybody...

I've been here a bunch of times and just realized I've never left a review! This is a cute Brooklyn themed boba shop and they have quite a selection! They have popping boba, butterfly tea and options for sweetness. I get a simple boba thai tea with 100% sweetness, it's perfect and classic but we have tried the passionfruit and strawberry popping boba with the guava and watermelon teas and those are AMAZING! I've never had popping boba before so that was a fun experience. Glad to have a good boba shop so close to home!
