One reviewer said they have the best fish tacos. WRONG. It was horrible. The plank is frozen from Walmart and you could make it yourself. They added barely any cabbage, a lot of pico, and the white sauce is literally an American tartar sauce. I asked for the, āchipotleā sauce on the side and that was just as horrible being a slight pink color and doused with pure mayonnaise. Go to Taco Taco. Only 99 cents for a much better and deserving fish tacosā¦. Also, nice touch with the salsa bar, but the Red sauce is crap just like another reviewer mentioned. The taste is off for some reason. Their tomatillo (green) sauce is okay, but that red sauce is a huge turn off. So are the breakfast burritos. Chincy in size to say the least. The carne asada burritos are also small for $15 and they add lettuce. Say what? Them rolled tacos are also small very good size with the shredded beef they add, but that NEON GREEN guacamole is NOT GUACAMOLE. They water their avocado down with sour cream and add green food coloring to save on costs. Even though their prices are high their quality doesnāt match. The only reason many people come here is because they are one of the few Mexican shops that open early. As with the case for me, but never again. Go to Oscarās down the street. Opens at 6am. Good food for the price; way better red sauce; and, their salsa bar offers jalapeƱo carrots. Win....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a Cheeseburger Special (only) review. Special comes with fries and a fountain drink. The burger is made using actual ground beef, raw white onion, American cheese, tomato, lettuce, mayonnaise, and a white bread bun. There was quite a bit of mayonnaise, which made the bun soft. The bun had a good taste, but its texture was leaning toward donut-like. The ground beef of the hamburger was cooked just right, though, which helped make it enjoyable. The Special includes a generous serving of fries, which were tasty, but had waaay too much salt on them. I ordinarily finish fries when they are served, but this time I couldn't. The seating area is quite large, attractive, well-maintained, and clean. The workers there were attentive and friendly. Although the special I ordered was a bit of a disappointment (especially after reading other reviews praising it), I will visit again to enjoy their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot gonna lie, i was skeptical about trying this place cause i dont trust yt ppl reviews on mexican restaurants (ever since the people of the USA voted Taco Bell as the #1 mexican restaurant in the US in 2018; they lost my food review trust) BUT My bf and I shared a breakfast burrito & added bacon for only $1.25. The burrito was amazing, to call it tasty is an understatement. Most breakfast burritos I've had were scrambled in what seems a gallon of oil, just way too greasy. This burrito was NOT greasy and the egg was scrambled but folded perfectly with the tortilla. The salsa bar is so cute & has all your taco add on needs! I LOVED how they had dried red chilles š it went perfect with my burrito.šÆ Basically; this was one of the very best taco shop breakfast burritos we have ever had!!! š Their Tamarindo drink is also very refreshing š a must try! If you're in the Poway area, give this...
