Quick escape to Prescott, AZ and we found the coolest retro gem—The Motor Lodge! Carports, vintage vibes, and all the charm of a simpler time. Definitely not your average staycation. @The Motor Lodge #PrescottAZ #staycation #RetroRoadtrip #ArizonaAdventures #WeekendEscape #TravelOver50

Stayed in room 2 for one night August 2025. Have to say love the retro quirkiness, but have to be honest and would not stay again. Mostly because of the bathroom. I am not a large person, 5'9 175 lb but I could barely move in this bathroom. The door is 2 ft wide and the hall space is about 22 in but there is a towel bar sticking out 3 in so nearly impossible to bend down and always banging elbows on things. The shower is 30 inches by 30 inches with a super powered shower head and shower curtain so the pressure sucks the curtain in and it sticks to you the whole time you're trying to shower in this tiny space. Everything else about the room is adorable and thoughtfully done. Bed is comfortable AC works great. Nice outdoor area. Would love to give this a five-star review but just can't because of the comfort level. I would say if a teeny tiny butt bumping bathroom doesn't bother you you will love this place. Great restaurant right next door at Edison's Market but mostly sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. A bit far to walk to town on a really hot day but seriously only about 15 to 20 minutes. I commend the owners for working to make this place special but without a full gut of the bathrooms I just don't see how it could be more comfortable.

This place is amazing!! By far the best experience we have ever had staying away from home. Here are a few items that made it amazing: 1) They called us to let us know the room was ready (have never had a hotel do THAT before). This was so nice because we were about 1 hour away and more than 2 hours from check-in (and had just finished a hike so we wanted a shower before heading out!). 2) Upon check-in, the gentlemen were extremely friendly and accommodating. One of the gentlemen walked us to our room to answer any questions we may have had. 3) Total foodies!!! The recommendations for dinner and breakfast were on point. We decided to follow their advice and I am glad we did. We ate at Rosa's Pizzeria for dinner and Raven Cafe for breakfast. Both were delicious!! 4) The décor, oh décor!! My wife loves mid-century everything and every aspect of this place made us feel like we had stepped back in time (but better). 5) Little extras: The bed slept great, the linens smelt wonderful. If you want a true get away, stay here!!! 6) Checking out was just as enjoyable as checking in! Can't recommend this place enough and will check here FIRST before anywhere else on our next trip to Prescott.

Our recent stay here was WONDERFUL. We stayed in one of the classic rooms with a king bed and a fireplace. The day we came into town, Prescott had just had its first winter storm. The temperature was 18 degrees!! We arrived after hours but had called ahead to let the front desk know. When we got to our room, we found that the staff had turned on both the fireplace and the heater, turned a bedside light on for us and made sure we had access to our room and wifi. We also had an email waiting for us with all the information to get us through for the night. Our room was cozy and warm. The lodge is small and funky but fun. You feel like you've stepped back into the 50's with the room decor, which is right up our alley! Our room was clean, quite, warm and inviting. We slept well each night. We had not anticipated the cold weather and ended up having to change rooms after the first night because we have a diesel truck and needed access to a plug to keep our engine warm. The staff again, went above and beyond making sure we had a room with covered parking and a plug for our pickup. We had only one minor complaint about our stay and that is the size of the bathroom. The bathrooms are very small and the shower was even smaller! But in spite of the small shower, the water was hot and it did the job! The staff was so accommodating and so kind that we would definitely stay here again. Also the location is EXCELLENT!!! You are just a short walk to downtown Prescott, yet far enough away to not have any...

I want to scream how awesome this place is from the rooftops, but I dont want it to get so booked up that it's not available when I come back. To start, the lady at the front desk was kind and quick, I truly felt welcomed. If retro, mid century modern is your jam, they have you covered. The small complex far from cookie cutter corporate hotels is tucked just off of Whiskey Row. Close enough to walk to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away for a peaceful night. The rooms are standard hotel size, and the pillows are the best my head's ever laid on. AC and ceiling fans keep the room from getting stuffy and the TV has plenty of channels to rot your brain. There aren't modern plug ins for all of our modern gadgets, but I made it work with the outlets they had. The bathroom in my unit was tiny, I'm a small person, and showering was awkward. But the room and amazing views from number 10 were impeccable with a beverage in the evenings. I want to come back in the fall or winter to make use of the fireplace. The tight area between buildings and other guest cars might make some nervous to park, and I wouldn't recommend a room with a carport for larger vehicles...that said there is plenty of street parking should you not want to drive into the complex. Don't let these minor things decract you. I've stayed at many places in Prescott, this is by far my...

The all-star reviews are well deserved! We planned a Cousins getaway and we had a such a blast at The Motor Lodge!

I've stayed in several popular hotels around Prescott and I wanted a place where we could chat all night and not worry about hearing passing cars and loud parties when it came time to sleep.

I read the stellar reviews of the Motor Lodge and reserved the two queen suite.

Let me just say..photos online don't begin to show the awesomeness of this Prescott hidden gem. From the moment we got out and saw these unique motel rooms we KNEW we made the right choice.

Our room was one wow after the next. Spacious, clean, welcoming, uniquely decorated, so fun, thoughtfully arranged for great conversations and for maximum quiet& relaxation. All of the beds were comfy (including the couch bed which was unexpectedly comfy!!). Even the bathroom was big. We loved the "groovy" decor and layout.

The thoughtful amenities like bowls, glasses etc. were so nice to find. We appreciated the modern touches to funky art. Clean carpets, all clean surfaces and absolutely NO smells (which is always a concern for older motels). This felt new.

The staff is so friendly and texted us when our room was ready. They even let us know we could stay later. If you haven't guessed..we can't wait to come back. Don't hesitate...
