Even though I was frustrated with Limoncello's system of delivery which is totally all on Door Dash (I will explain later).
However this a review on the venue itself. Their customer service is top notch for when we had to go pick up which went beyond the time it said it was going to be done they ended up remaking the entire order so it would be hot and fresh upon me picking it up.
The garlic twists was probably the best breadsticks I have had in a very long time. Buttery, Garlicky (is that a word?) goodness.
The quality of the cheese and meats on the pizza is worth 5 stars alone.
I do recommend or suggest a different way of delivery or just have dine in or carry out only to stop needless headaches of getting the pizza.
My sister ordered the pizza online on Limoncello's website. Once confirming the order it goes directly to door dash. 3 minutes later we get a call from the door dash driver saying the pizza isn't ready..... DUH?!? we ordered it 3 minutes ago.. This isn't fast food dummy... have your ever order pizza or made pizza before? So we call Limoncello they said yeah the driver left but will try to get a new one. Okay we said but please let us know that we have to pick up ourselves. It was way past the time it was suppose to be ready and not a call from Limoncello so we had to call them again and they said we had to pick it up ourselves (the only mistake besides using door dash Limoncello made). Got there had to park 5 blocks away due to it being busy and construction. So I was flustered by the time I got up stairs to the place. This is were they told me they contacted door dash and they remade the pizza.
So Bravo to Limoncello and BOOOOOOO to Door Dash and their mindless drivers.
Please don't let my frustrations on door dash stop you from enjoying good quality food...
Read moreTried Limoncello today and overall it was a great experience. This being our first visit, we decided to try a variety of pizza and one pasta dish. We ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza and the ricotta was wonderful. It could have used a little more garlic or some flavor, it was a little bland. The crust was lightly done, almost underdone but I enjoyed it. We also ordered the pizza Maradona. It was flavorful especially with the spicy oil at the table. The crust was very light and slightly raw in the middle. The third pizza we ordered was the seasonal Pizza al Limone. It was my favorite pizza of the day. It was basically a Bianca pizza with tomatoes and very thin sliced lemons with balsamic glaze and pesto. The only complaint I would have of that one is that it could have used more basalmic (which we probably could have asked for) and the lemons would have been nice to have been cut in half as I got a whole lemon slice in one bite because I couldn't bite it in half. Otherwise the pizza was very enjoyable. The star of our lunch in my opinion was the ravioli di carne pomodoro. The basil pink sauce was out of this world if you like basil. The ravioli was cooked perfect the pasta was just chewy enough and ricotta filling was wonderful. I would hands down pick the ravioli next time. I stayed away from ordering the dry imported pasta because I wanted to try the housemade pasta and the ravioli did not disappoint. Our waitress was amazing and continuously filled out water glasses so we never had to ask for more. After lunch we went downstairs and tried the Gelato. We got a cup of Italian espresso and hazelnut chocolate. It was divine. The best Gelato I have had in Prescott yet. Overall, a...
Read moreThe WORST pizza I've ever been served! Had eaten their pasta before and it ranged from very good to not bad, but had never tried their pizza until this week. Since they advertise as being a pizzeria, I had high expectations, boy was I disappointed! Ordered a Filetto, which has mozzarella, bufalo, cherry tomatoes and arugula. It arrived with a ton of arugula all over it that had just been added right before serving, so it was not cooked. And if you've ever had raw arugula with no dressing or oil, you know it's bitter. So I pushed most of that off to the side assuming the rest of the pizza would be good. But the only part that was good was the puffy edge crust. The cheese had a hard rubbery texture, but what was the worst was the crust underneath the toppings. It was very thin, and yet didn't seem cooked through. It was rubbery, slimy and stretchy! And when I tried to eat it, the toppings literally slipped right off the bottom crust in a solid hard sheet! So I called over one of the owners and he brushed it off saying "that's the way Sicilian pizza is". What??? How anyone could excuse that horrible crust as being acceptable by any pizza standards is a joke! The only part I ate was the puffy edge crust which I had to dip in my husband's pasta sauce for some flavor. The rest literally went to my dogs, who incidentally gave it a paws up! But they would eat anything! As for me, I had to go home and fix myself dinner. I come from an Italian family I know good pizza, and trust me, what I was served was the worst ever. Will...
