An absolutely fascinating place! We were mesmerized by the incredible diversity of beads we saw at the Prescott Trading Post & Bead Museum. We were impressed by the Mauritanian Kiffa beads collection, one of the largest collections in the world. We also saw incredible samples of Venetian, Dutch, French, German beads as well as beads from ancient China, Japan, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Indonesia, Java and many other fascinating places from around the world. The personal attention we received made this one of there best experiences visiting museums of this kind around the world. A visit to the Prescott Trading Post & Bead Museum is an absolute must for bead lovers.

This is such an interesting place. They have much more than just beads, and it's all super cool and dripping with history. The owner is extremely nice and will talk your ear off about everything in the store if you ask him to. His enthusiasm is contagious, we left the store in a giddy mood!

What a cool place! We have an eight year old daughter who loves beadcraft and making jewelry, so this was a must-see when going through Prescott. It ended up being our favorite part of the trip! Thomas is a great host and has an incredible collection of beads and collectibles from all over the world, spanning all of human history. Amazing to find such a cool place tucked away in Prescott!

A lot more than beads, he has some ancient statues and tools going back 15,000+ years. He's admirably knowledgeable and has personable, and is happy to tell you all about the history behind all the items in his collection.

Our daughter is still talking about the trade beads and figures from sub-Saharan Africa, and can't wait to bring some of her creations to show him next time :) Worth a trip to town...

This is an amazing place and is absolutely worth visiting. I didn't necessarily have an appreciation for beads until I went here and met Thomas, the owner. We literally talked for two hours straight about history, geography, and, of course, beads. Beads can be made from anything, from bones to ostrich egg shells. Beads are the original currency. I learned so much and appreciated Thomas on so many levels. So, if you are interested in history, geography, or are just curious about unique things in general, then go...
