Beautiful, well-kept grounds, lovely staff, friendly and unfussy clientele because it's a mid-range motel and it's Provincetown, ample parking, comfortable beds, yummy coffee cake in afternoon, okay breakfast options (coffee could be better), good WiFi, very clean resort, nice pool with lots of chairs and tables, good place to be kind of anonymous (unlike at a B & B) if you want. They work hard here to treat you right.||Important areas for improvement that would not cost owners much to fix and that I really wish they would finally address: |1. Need grab bar in shower and non-slip mat in there. Very slippery if wash feet. It feels really dangerous, and there's nothing to hold onto. |2. Need a double hook for towels on inside of bathroom door. There's a towel rack that holds hand towel and has room for just one other towel, so there's no place to hang more than one wet towel or bathing suit or anything else unless you want to drape stuff over the shower bar alongside the used bath mat or hang it on the doorknob. |3. Need a shelf above bathroom sink. There's no room for toiletries except on the back of the toilet, and that holds a Kleenex dispenser. Some of our stuff fell off twice. You can maybe fit a tube of toothpaste on the sink itself. Here again, hooks on door would help.|4. Need plastic cups for drinking (and rinsing after brushing teeth) in bathroom. But there is currently no place to put them anyway!|5. The little hanging shelf attached to the shower head for shampoo and soap moves around and tilts, and anything you put on there repeatedly falls off. There are two little holes in the shelf that you can sort of try to prop stuff in, but things still fall onto the shower floor. I came to kind of hate that shower even though the pressure and temp were good. Please install a proper, stable shelf. |7. (Aside: Now this would cost real money, but a removable shower head would allow people to rinse off properly and I think a lot of us would choose this place above all others if the hotel installed them.) |8. The gates to enter and exit the pool enclosure have a safety mechanism that requires you to reach up and pull up on a disc. But it's way, way too high. My party and two other parties we saw struggled to reach them. The hotel needs to install a safety mechanism that humans can reach. |9. Two much less important suggestions: The bed pillows are good but overstuffed. A softer top pillow would be much more comfy. A little table between the outdoor chairs would be very useful for setting down coffee and snacks and books.||Otherwise a great motel. We would return and pay more if the owners fixed these things. I personally have grown a little impatient with them for not doing so, but really do hope they make these improvements and will be grateful to...
Read moreWe stayed 2 nights in early August and really enjoyed this place - we will be back. Pool deck is beautiful and relaxing - I enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck and my kids enjoyed swimming/ diving in. Water was warm enough for even the adults to get in, I swam the one day it was hot outside. The rooms are clean and I liked having 2 chairs outside on the balcony. The shuttle was very convenient and available pretty much any time we needed it (one night we had to walk back from downtown as the shuttle service ended at 8:15) - the walk is not too bad for adults, a little long for kids. My 11 YO loved the chocolate chip cookies and riding in the electric car open air shuttle. I also really enjoyed the orange-infused water in the lobby that I filled up in my mug and took to the beach one afternoon. The breakfast was OK - my family wasn't that into it - but we appreciated having it as eating out in P-town with 2 teenagers gets really expensive... The grounds are beautiful and we got a nice family photo with some of the shrubs and the sunset in the background. The staff is also very nice if you need anything, friendly and don't mind chit chatting in the shuttle. My only minor suggestion for improvement would be to add a shelf and more towel hooks in the bathrooms - not much space for toiletries for a family of 4. ...
Read moreI originally made reservations for two rooms for our vacation with another couple. I spoke to Pat who said we could get two rooms next to each other but one room would be a double queen room. I said that was fine and made the reservation based on the promise of having two rooms side by side. When we got to the Seaglass Inn we were told that we could not have the rooms side by side and when I asked to speak to Pat I was told that she is no longer associated with the Inn. We were also told that "we cannot promise" rooms together. We ended up having rooms that were 7 rooms apart which was extremely inconvenient. That was issue number one. Issue two was that it took FOREVER to get hot water in the bathroom. We had to run the sink and the bathtub on full for over 10 mins just for the water to get warm. One of the room ice buckets had mold in it and there were no tissues in either of the rooms. Additionally during our stay the room adjacent to the double queen was never occupied so I believe accommodations could have been made but the staff did not seem interested at all to accommodate us. We had stayed at the Seaglass in previous years without issue but I guess things really do change for the worse. Time to find a new place to stay...
