This particular Sleep Inn would have received a much better score if they had: Softer beds (the beds were hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. Plus, the sizes of the beds are a lot smaller than the size the hotel says they are), an actual breakfast (not the grab and go), the handicap shower was small (even a very skinny person would have an issue, they can't relax and shower and not feel closterfobic), there is a small hole in the wall and two boards that are up on the wall going across long ways that look like they never really finished renovations, the bathroom needs some serious expanding (not a great bathroom in general if you are closterfobic), The walk in stand up shower isn't accessible if someone who has mobility issues or in a wheelchair (no room at all if you are in a wheelchair to get into the bathroom or into the shower, or if you need to sit while showering, and the curtain doesn't help to keep the water in the shower when your showering, and there is a slight ledge at the bottom of the walk in shower, if a person was in a wheelchair how would they get over that ledge/lip of the shower? I guess that's where it is a good thing they couldn't get into the bathroom anyway, not even with a walker). We were in another room before and there were the same issues. No hole in the wall or boards that I saw, the bathroom was handicap accessible but there is a tub with a shower head inside of it (they said that was a roll in shower. Okay, but how does a person get in the shower if there is a tub and they are in a wheelchair? If you have mobility issues you can step into the tub, but I don't remember seeing and grab bars (so you better be careful while stepping in and out of the tub). Neither shower in both of the rooms had any built in seating for handicap. I feel that the beds should really be softer and if it's a queen size it actually looks and is a queen size. Samething for the other sizes. I saw a full size bed that looked bigger than what they call a queen size bed. What they call a queen size bed looked more like what a real full size would look like. Be Prepared there turning this Sleep Inn into a Surburben Inn. Even so, that isn't going to do any better with how they did there renovations. We were there a year ago and they were starting the renovations and in the process of it. Well, it looks like they did a poor job. They haven't changed the sign yet, but they should call in...
ย ย ย Read moreWas disappointed that I called to make three room reservations as 2 sisters and I were coming for a reunion in Hollsopple, and requested 3 rooms: 2 to be adjoining and 1 to be across the hall. When we arrived, could not get those kind of rooms. Two rooms were on the second floor with 2 rooms in between us, and the other room given to us was on the first floor (my sister & her husband, since he came also) took that room. But when it was going to be just the 3 or us and we wanted a room across the hall from the adjoining rooms. Was not happy about that. That is why I made the room reservations a month out so as the rooms requested would be set aside to be available on that weekend (Aug 2 & 3 nights). Also, discovered on the Sunday morning upon opening my curtain that one of the sliding windows was slightly open & off track so I couldn't close it. Maintenance wasn't able to come in a timely manner on that day so I requested a credit to part of my cost for the room. Was told they would check into it, but did not get a credit. Was concerned about bugs getting into the room; would have been even more concerned if on the first floor about having someone get into my room from outside. So to say the least was most disappointed in my stay. Also, probably need instructions on use of shower as practically got scalded trying to get the right temp. Had to go all the way to the left with the handled & back to cold and slowly go back toward hot to get the right temp. Glad the weather was nice and the family reunion went well. Just sad the front desk wasn't more helpful, even though pleasant; just didn't solve the issue on site while there. Not her...
ย ย ย Read moreI was in town from the Lancaster area for my Grandfather's funeral yesterday. My arrival time was to be around noon. The standard check-in time was to be at 3pm, I called ahead and spoke with Kelly to see what the chances were of possibly checking in early. She politely informed me that the type of room I had reserved was fully booked the prior night of my arrival, and since check-out time wasn't 11am, the room may not be ready by the time I had arrived. She suggested I call when I get closer and see if a room was available. When I called 30min prior to my arrival, Kelly, was still working and informed me that she had asked the housekeeping staff to make sure that the soonest available room of my choosing was cleaned in preparation of my arrival! In this conversation, I had divulged to Kelly that I was in town for a funeral and my gratitude. She expressed her condolences and let me know the room was ready when I was. When I arrived to the Sleep Inn to check in, I find that not only did Kelly go above and beyond to ensure the room was ready for me, but she adjusted the rate of the room to allow for a discount due to the circumstances of my stay. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and the effort made to allow for my circumstances! And to top it all off? The room was IMPECIBLEY clean and very comfortable accommodations! Thank you to Kelly, and supporting staff for making my stay a little better in an unfortunate situation. If/when I need a place to stay, I'll definitely be returning!! Thank you again!...
